I noticed that the steering wheel has tape on it at the 12 o'clock. I assumed at first that it was covering a red stripe for that location. Then, I saw a picture of a Ferrari that had shift lights like a F1/Indy car.
Any chance the tape could be hiding shift lights? Also, is the steering wheel airbag cover fake as part of the camo?

Reason: Added Picture
Doubt GM would bother putting lights in the wheel given we have HUD and GM pioneered that. We've seen the real airbag cover with emblem in the interior leaks shots.

I see it now, could be. Not a great pic, but there doesn't appear to be any contours under the tape tho. I could tell you stories all day long about the crap camo folks do, but remember one thing they do take into account is features other cars that it may be mistook for have, and camo appropriately to disguise if it has those features. If Ferraris have that feature, they may have taped over so it is not noticeable that it doesn't.
Or, someone accidentally jammed a screwdriver into the steering wheel, cutting it up, and the tape is there for no reason other than to keep the covering in one piece!

Sometimes the camo is just to hide the fact these are very rough, very early, poorly fitting test pieces. Just look at the very early test car that had a C7 center section and a front bumper that looked like it was made from old campaign signs.

Yeah. I'm always amused at how many different color panels are under the camo when we finally get to rip it off, in many cases the mules look much better WITH the camo on!
Is that a "V8" icon I see down below the 0 on the RPM gauge? Could it be part of some sort of "cylinder deactivation" system where it changes to "V4" when active?
Eh, the GT350s show 1.5 or so, IIRC. It's a scale, no different than a speedometer, just because there are high numbers on it doesn't mean it will get there (at least in street trim)!
Putting a strip of tape at the 12 o'clock position of the steering wheel is a very old trick racers have been using to give cues to the driver that his wheels are pointed straight ahead and are not creating acceleration slowing drag. I'm going to guess that this is all it is and not a bad thing at all.
I heard from a guy who knows a guy whose dead uncle worked as a janitor at Bowling Green who told a Ford technician in Dime Box, Texas, that it was a camera to spy inside the car to register facial expressions. I don't know how accurate this is.

With that kind of chain of information, it would just about HAVE to be true, eh?

Other than the part about Dime Box having a Ford dealer..... everything else is gospel.
