C8 rear window like early C3?
I've been looking at the camo photos of the new C8, such as the one attached to this thread. In a lot of the photos, a different camo cover is used over the back glass/engine area. The photo attached shows a depression where the rear glass would be leaving two fins
. Could this indicate a rear glass similar to the early C3? The rear glass would be vertical leaving room for a flat glass engine cover.

You're probably looking at something like this on the convertible only, with the glass vertically filling the area between the buttresses. The camo has been covering that.

I don't know. It's the "vision thing." And I don't have it yet.

Yes... it's the convertible.

Window should retract vertically. Top may retract vertically next to the bulkhead between the passenger compartment and the engine bay. Or it may retract back over the engine bay.

The old sugar scoop design, I don't think so.

Why yes I did, I saw nothing definitive referencing that design, it's just my opinion, no need to tell me I'm wrong. I guess we'll wait until the unfolding, if they call it the sugar scoop design, you will definitely have my apology.

The pictures clearly show it's coming. It exists... you can see it.

Technically, you are right, It should not be called a Sugar Scoop Design because to actually be one it has to be a split top T-Top design like on the C3 and have a center bar handle too. I highly expect the T-Top design will not be on the C8. If it is well..... As to being similar to the C3 design from the B pillar back very probable..

If I am wrong, well apologies all the way around then. Sure don't want any consternation over this subject, I might get my feelings hurt......

It's GM so of course they haven't already destroyed visibility enough in the c7 so they are going to make it worse.
Could have kept the very visible c3-6 wrap around glass and used it for storage space like the NSX, but they couldn't resist it given the option to make visibility worse and give up even more storage space.

2. The coupe will have a normal hatch back. Regardless the rear trunk behind the motor will probably be the same on both models and they'll have a frunk so storage on the C8 convertible will probably be more than the C7.

I love that... if the C8 vert looks anything like that I'll be ecstatic. The power vertical back glass will be perfect for wind mitigation on the highway and fall/early spring top-down use. Plus, being a power hard top, no need to park with the top up to maintain the top.
