Default Which dealership are you most likely to purchase a 2020 Corvette from?

When it comes to ordering/purchasing a new 2020 C8, dealer allocation plays a significant role. A Corvette dealership with significant annual sales will be able to fulfill orders in a more timely manner than those with very few annual sales and allocations.

The Top 5 Corvette Dealerships for 2018 combined for more Corvette sales last year than the next 30 dealerships combined!

If you are considering a 2020 Corvette purchase, which dealership are you most likely to do business with? Personally, Mike Furman at Criswell Chevrolet is my "go to" choice based on the superior experiences I've had with him in the past. Who is your "go to" choice for the 2020 C8 Corvette?

None. I’m waiting for 2021 after the first year bugs are worked out and the “additional dealervmark up” and “market adjustment” charges disappear.

None of the above? Not buying a 2020, and Iíll buy from a local dealer.

of that list, probably Criswell. Used to live pretty close to them.

In the unlikely event I buy one, it'll be used. I'll wait a few years for the bugs to make themselves known and I'll let some other sucker take the initial depreciation hit.

Thanks for the post. The poll has an option for other dealership and for not buying a 2020 as well.

I’m 1st on my local Chevy Dealer list and they will have an allocation within the first 3-4 months, probably sooner, which is good for me. If like my ‘14 C7 VIN #49XX, May be in the first 5000. I posted the below in another CF thread my reasoning in response to MarkP.

Of course you didn't have to put a deposit down. That's because they can't guarantee they'll even get any allocation if they're only selling 12 Corvettes per year. For your sake, I hope you do get one within 4 months of order opening.

CRABBYJ Response:

So, where do you think the first 4 months of C8 production will go? Certainly not all to the top twenty Dealers or even 50 for that matter. Scroll down and take a look at 2018 C7 Sales by Dealer

https://www.corvetteblogger.com/2019...alers-of-2018/

Summary:
2018 Total C7 Corvette Sales = 18791
Top 50 Dealer 2018 C7 Sales Total = 5493
Thus leaving 13298 sold by #51 Dealer on down.

Many C8s will be spread around the country, my dealer included. His first allocation should be at least one and it could be mine. In 2012 this Chevy Dealer only sold 6 new C6’s but got 2 allocations for the C7 before the end of 2013, mine being their first as VIN 49XX.
Even if I have to wait until the start of the next annual allocation cycle with year change I WILL STILL BE #1 NO DEPOSIT REQUIRED.

EDIT: Even your poll currently has ~30% responding as buying from a local dealer. But if I did go to one of the big 5, Criswell would be my choice.

Not planning to buy a 2020 (although that could change depending on what the "Reveal", reveals). When I sold my 1987, I thought I'd never own another Corvette...then the C7 came out..........

My dealership of choice is Estero Bay Chevrolet (Florida). They are a relatively high volume Corvette dealership with an excellent service department. They also write good deals.

How about Hendrick's. Individually, their stores are not in the top 5, but collectively, I think Hendrick is #2 or #3.

With 8 stores in the top 50 in Corvette sales, I would think that Hendricks would have some impressive buying power with GM(AKA allocations)..

I will buy a C8 when a Z06 stick shift is offered in a convertible and I will get it from Kerbeck.

Iím getting mine at the same local dealership that sold me their first allocation with the C7...north of the border,(mutual clients)

If I were to buy in Florida ,
Estero Bay Chevrolet would be my choice as well,
Nice people and plenty of inventory .

FWIW, I shopped at the Hendrick's Chevrolet in Naples and they were charging over MSRP on the C7 and no discounts. Estero Bay started at sticker and gave me Military pricing (same a supplier) on my 2015 in late summer of 2014. Also their (Estero Bay's) Doc fee was less expensive than Hendrick.

Damn, a C8 with Z06 option, a Manual, and a Ragtop?

I'm waiting till they offer the C8 with either the Z51 option but preferably the Z06 option.

I prefer a Manual but will consider the DCT if it gets great reviews.

The Spyder option would be my dream C8.

I seem to remember that when the C7 was first released, some of the Hendrick stores were asking above MSRP. After it was made known on this forum, Rick, himself said that none of his stores would be selling the C7 above MSRP. Last year, their Florida store sold 84 C7's. Overall, Hendricks sold 608 C7's. Just 13 cars behind #2 MacMulkin and 276 cars ahead of #3 on the list.

I would note that Florida seems also to be a very competitive state regarding Corvette sales, since 12 of the top 50 Corvette dealers are in Florida, alone.

The participating dealers here on this forum have great reputations. I have purchased from them in the past. Their prices are usually extremely hard to beat locally and it is much easier to work with guys who concentrate strictly on Corvette sales. Buying a car from an out of town dealer is not difficult and the ride home from there or post museum delivery. I'll be shopping the participating dealer sites again once the initial frenzy has passed.

MacMulkin, easy to deal with.
No mark up
NO DOC fee!! (DOC fee is a scam anyways)
Plenty of allocations

I order thru them and do easy pickup at Museum
This will be 4th time

No one in there right mind would buy this car in 2020. Your just asking for it. I will be entertained viewing the C8 forum listening to owners bitch about this falling off that going blank and how this or that rattles and squeaks, not to mention clueless dealerships trying to service them, always entertaining.

IF i were to buy one, i suspect it would be a 2022 just because i like all of the 2's in the year. Actually because it might take more than a year to work out the bugs and/or for me to actually warm up to the styling. At this point i am not sure i will even buy a C8, however i wouldn't rule it out.
