GM officials already said it would ballpark be at the price point of a C7 Grand Sport.

Price will be the price. But where I am interested in seeing is the mark ups the dealers will pull for these cars. Im guessing 25-30k to start for those "I have to have it first" crowds willing to drop into deep negative equity immediately.

Remember, for comparison, the base price of the C7 is 58,990, not 56,995. The C8 has no lower priced manual transmission model so the price of the base plus A8 is the starting point for the C7.

If it's going to be the price of a GS, then per the above, if you add auto trans (horrors! we are actually calling a DCT an auto trans!
), then the current base price for a GS with "auto" is $69K and the base C7 is as said above, $59K. A $69K base entry-priced C8 ME? Hmmmm….
That is still $12K more than the lowest priced (manual trans) C7.
