The C7 was leaked 2 years before the release.
As far as your other questions, do you really think anyone has real answers to them? All we can do is guess.

I'm kinda shocked it hasn't fully leaked yet as well - thankful for the CADs, paintshop and interior pics we have seen so far.

GM and others have learned from Apple and the iPhone on how to control leaks. Most iPhone leaks have come from 2nd tier sub manufacturers and/or 3rd party support product suppliers. I would agree that, unlike the inner courtyard C7 leaks, the C8 has never left a GM security building uncomoflauged. The downstream vendors making things like carpet pieces, car covers, and interior and engine compartment doodads have been told to be patient and wait for the unveil to begin their own product development cycles. The camouflage? Brilliant. I’m betting the current crop of renderings are completely “close but no cigar.”

It's pretty well documented what its gonna look like from all the renderings which are pretty spot on from the camo car. What's funny is everyone will be surprised and either hate on it or love it. Seriously though it's no surprise what it's gonna look like.

Pretty sure GM has serious measures in place. Leave your phone in your car, check your lunchbox before you in stuff. Plus who wants to lose THAT job??? Proof they employ people who care about the product. If I worked there I wouldn’t leak it. Those people are privileged so why ruin that?

I agree. From my own years in manufacturing I feel that almost everyone who works on the program must take a significant amount of pride in what they do. THEY already know that the car looks really cool ....... and they know that most everyone else will think so too when it's revealed. There is little incentive to leak a picture ahead ..... everyone in the program wants it to be a success.

In years past, leaks have never really came from GM. You've had leaks come from suppliers, transport drivers, photo editors, etc. This time around GM has been as strict as they possible can. I can't say or sure, but I believe this car has not ever been seen outside of a GM building at this point. I can't go into security details but I know they've made this a top priority and hope to launch with no leaks prior.

Probably GM had everyone involved sign some agreement stating they would not take photos or leak any information whatsoever, or be immediately terminated and possibly sued.
Who knows. Just a few more days. Honestly, I can wait another 6 months. Or a year. Am I excited to see the latest and greatest? Sure. But my less than important world don't revolve around the C8.

I think they have not let pictures leak because this is an entirely new platform. And....they're "betting the farm" on the mid engine. You won't see it until reveal night....sorry. ALL OF YOU can wait for 3 weeks.
