Nobody asked for your opinion on "bells and whistles"... idea here is for speculation on what surprise GM has up their sleeve.

Rear wheel steering would be cool, but not likely happening.

With respect to your hybrid comments, no, there will definitely not be any sort of hybrid power system on the base Corvette. But, there is a very real possibility that in about two years, the ZR1 Zora will approach 1,000 HP with about 200-250 HP coming from electric in such an AWD sports car. But, thatís just the opinion of some folks whoíve paid attention to what is actually transpiring in the broader automotive performance world.

I think the 7:18:20 date is significant, Nurburgring time for the base car. Makes the base car 1 second faster than the c6 zr1, and I bet it would be faster than the current grand sport time. Also right on the money with the 911 GT3. Camaro ZL1 did 7:16 so it isnt crazy for the base vette to get 7:18 and match a gt3. I also think AWD will be available. I hope that the targa is electric, it would knock the porsche targa out of the running for dream car at a better price.

Active aero is a good guess. I think a TwinTurbo V6 option is not a bad guess, as well as a hybrid powertrain.

Maybe keep in mind this a $70k-ish car, not a $250k-ish+ car. Also maybe keep in mind that most of them will have to be maintained by everyday Chevy dealers, not super dealers like Kerbeck etc...

Two of of the biggest C8 questions will be the extent to which they’ve minimized potentially serious maintenance issues and what happens when such failures do occur.

Don’t even stop to think what happens when on a road trip 100 miles from the nearest quality Chevy dealer.

When I got pulled over by two LA Sheriff’s detectives in an unmarked Chevy years ago, the first thing they said was, “We couldn’t track your speed once you passed 130.” Luckily, I shut it down at 160 and began to pull over before the dash light even came on when I realized the old beat up Chevy was being driven too fast and too well to be a civilian. The second thing they said was, “Is this one of those new ZR1 cars?” My response was, “Yes. Would you like to drive it?”

Bottom line, when your C8 malfunctions, the last thing you’ll want to hear when you pull into an outlying Chevy service bay are similar words such as, “Is this one of those Ferrari’s?”

With all the upgrades to the paint process and equipment hoping for paint choices like what is offered in the Volkswagen Spektrum Program for the Golf R. In addition to the 5 standard colors, the Volkswagen Spektrum Program offers an additional 40 colors at around a $2k upcharge.

Tired of all the boring blues, grays, reds, etc. Time for some great and vibrant colors!

That would be an amazing surprise and so welcome to those of us that don't want the same old boring conservative color offerings.
