One can dream of adding goodies for free.. ha ha ha .. not going to happen! The best surprise would be for the C8 to have a base price of the same as C7 Automatic or $19.99 less, but wait......

Surprising new range of C8 colors, many we expect and a few others hopefully to draw in a wider demographic.

Happy 4th everyone.

I'll be happy if the "surprise" is the absence of the "snaggle tooth" mouth. Hopefully, that is a fake camo piece, but I suspect it is not.

I expect it to be much like the Chazcron renders, with numerous little differences that will add up to a more pleasing overall appearance in the flesh. That would closely parallel the C7 renders that were close, but the real thing was much better.

I would be ecstatic if a manual were announced, even as "coming in the future," but I doubt that will happen either.

^^^^^^^^

Otherwise I will paint it black like I did with the braces across the front of my C7.

I like the original C7 nose aesthetics a lot . . . ZR1 not at all, but I do understand the functionality of it.

  6. Chevrolet is listening to the forum members who say that a mid engined Corvette cannot succeed. Therefore, the real engine will be an air cooled flat four cylinder, located under the front "frunk", driving the front wheels only.
  7. The entire volume behind the passenger compartment is dedicated to golf bag storage. Eight golf bags can be carried.
  8. There will be no convertible - the folding top would compromise golf bag capacity.
  9. An optional passenger seat delete will allow two more golf bags to be carried in the cabin.
  10. Every car will be delivered with an embroidered duffel bag containing a set of 48" waist denim shorts, a Hawaiian shirt, and a pair of white New Balance athletic shoes.
  11. There will be no front engined C7.5. But there will be a C6 7/8.

The surprise is that there will be no real surprises. Looks like the camaflouged version. Don’t expect anything unexpected this is GM.

Imagine if “Ralphie” had had expectations of a .22, and instead got that Red Ryder BB rifle.

The passenger seat will fold into the rear of the car when the top is up allowing golf bags...

That it's not actually a car, but it's a mid engine golf bag.

It's going to be like Christmas morning.

I think our imaginations about how things will be always tend to be more grand than they actually turn out to be.

That's why my mom used to tell us kids on Christmas Eve that wanting is better than having, and he who expects nothing is never disappointed.

I think that the big surprise is that it will be here, and we'll finally get to dig into the drivetrain, options and all that goes with a new completely new Corvette platform.

We will get to see the car without camo, and all the snappy new colors we can buy it with.

I was just starting to get into to the camo. Even Kate Beckinsale was getting into the camo.

The "big surprise"? That would be the dct. So no surprise.

And to the people thinking 7:18:19 is related to a Nürburgring laptime... That would be disappointing for a 500+ hp ME DCT with modern R tires, definitely not something to boast about in public. The Camaro did a 7:16 for crying out loud.
