What I see here mostly is that the Ferrari is 90% status and the more exotic the higher the status. What I've seen is that the Corvette is 90% functionality. If you looking for status it must be exotic even if there is no real functionality in the exotic (weirdness) I'm hoping that the Corvette stays 90% functionality and that mid engine car's beauty is in it's minimalistic design.

Read every review ever on a 458/488 then show me where the car lacks function?
I have a 15 458 and a 16 Callaway SC757. While the Callaway is a great car there is no comparison between the Ferrari and the Corvette.
Ferrari is simple a better all around car and performs exceptionally well under any driving condition.
Go drive 488 for a day then come back and talk about how well it functions.
Again STUPID statement by someone who never driven a 458/488 that I can guarantee.
If you had the last critical statement would be about the functionality of Ferrari.
Yes they are expensive and the entry price is a big number .
But anyone who's ever driven one will tell you it absolutely one if the best sports cars ever made by any measure .

By two guys who have no clue what it's like to own or drive a Ferrari but have BOLD statements based on no experience with the car or its capabilities.
Go rent a 458/488 for one day then come back here and tells the rest of the forum how Ferrari lacks functionality and capabilities of a world class sports car.
If the C8 is 75% the car that the Ferrari is it will easily be the best car ever built by GM.
I just don't get guys who have no experience with a subject to make such a dumb statement.
I would ask one simple thing.
Post here on CF any review of the 458 or 488 that the reviewer found that the car lacks functionality or is anything less than one of the best sports car ever produced by any manufacturer.
Goof luck with that. Google Ferrari 458/488 reviews and then get back to me with any negative reviews other than the cost of entry.

Jeez, where to start? It’s called Alcantara. It’s used in race/track applications for better grip and less weight.

This functionality argument is beyond laughable. I’ve grown up with Vettes—owned several and have a deposit with Kerbeck. I’ve also owned an F12, 458, 488 and now a Pista . The Vette is, and always will be the best bang for the buck. The Ferraris I’ve mentioned are light years ahead In drivability, quality and yes, function. And they should be for the cost. Are they worth 3-4 as much—doubtful .

I dunno. There was a 488 Pista at the local microbrewery on Friday, that was one fine looking car.
Nah. There is really nothing about styling that adds any significant price increases. People make Fieros look like Ferraris for not significant amounts of money.
Eh, I'd say that is the Mercedes AMG GT, but I'm not going to argue between those for too long.
And, in my subjective opinion, looks far more at home in a performance car than napa leather.

Another thing I have noticed. If someone gets very upset by something someone else has said it's usually because it's a defense mechanism to protect their self esteem. For example if some driver is not paying attention and almost hits another driver the first thing they do is lay on their horn. So please get off your horns

Nice car but what kind of drums do you play and what style of music. 👍

I just traded a 488 on a 488 Pista which is the best driving car I’ve owned.[/QUOTE]
