Where to watch the reveal?
What will you be doing at 18/07/2019?
Is there a website we can officially watch the reveal?

SOUnds like a good place to watch the reveal. Id imagine youtube live as well?
im sure the various c8 corvette forums will have a live feed post as well...
should be quite exciting ...
looking forward to the 18th as well as the days following as the sports car world gets set on its ears...
youtube should add to many days of various opinions and insights as well.
when the magazines do their first drives and then road tests...we will have plenty of laughs and Im sure arguments with those who come on to tell us why their preferred brands are still better...
chaos will ensue...

I’m so exited for this. But unfortunately I’m in no position of owning one atm. But as a engineer and car enthusiast, being able to experience it through other people in this forum kinda makes me feel warm and cozy inside lol. I don’t know anything about cars and coffee or car meetings. Is there such a thing? Even for someone who doesn’t own a corvette? I would like to just see them in person, talk about it, make friends. I’m from Michigan. And thank everyone who replied to this thread. I had already subscribed to the corvette news page thingy. But for some reason I got no notifications whatsoever. I’ll try it again.

You are the guy whose ***** are busted big time and goes into personal attack mode when Porsche and their Fanboys are questioned after waves of posts about the superiority of the 911 over the C7 or soon to arrive C8. I don't care what you drive or your personal preference in sports cars. You could easily be considered a strong defender of the P-car faith here. Your reactions are as predictable as they are aggressive and simple.

Why the need for derogatory and demeaning remarks and labels like “fanboy?” I have long been weary of the inability of some to simply respond with factual debate on differences of opinion instead of labeling and attacking those who like something other than the fiberglass Holy Grail. Sadly, many in our country now feel that labeling opponents with demeaning terms is a sign of leadership rather than a simple lack of intellectual gravitas.

You still dont get it do you? I dont care one way or the other about Porsche. You on the other hand mention it every chance you get and it is very weird. I am pointing out your overwhelming tendency to disparage an automaker time and time again. Is that simple enough for you to understand?
People reap what they sow.
Granted, slapping a Porsche or Mercedes or Bentley or Rolls Royce key fob down on the batop will probably pick up more money-grubbing gals who don't know anything about cars, than doing the same with a Corvette key fob, but one doesn't need to own the actual car to pull that off. There's a sucker born every minute.

Sold my 2010 ZR1 in 2012. Went to Mercedes and have been ever since. Biggest mistake. Europeans are overpriced money pits. And many never change their body style. But I have seen the light again. Out with the Mercedes and in with the C8.

I invite anyone to check the locked out threads on the C8 section. I am with Punky on this one. The car is not out yet and plenty of Porsche pontificating and paternalizing on how the little poor's man sports car will never reach the pantheon of the pseudo uber 911. Most of the whole lot built on fake performance attributes, fake popularity attributes based on fake sales data.
So I got a friendly suggestion. Why don't the corvette fans hang out here for the C8 reveal and the Porsche fans huddle in the Porsche forum to discuss and possibly help the brand on why the new 911 922 is turning out to be a flop?
Cheers.

You can pretty much sum up every post from punky with "it's a rant against Porsche".

Perfect timing for our Club, Valley Corvettes of Boise, as we celebrate our bi-annual Vette Fest , 17-20 July. We plan on returning to our host hotel on the 18th at the conclusion of the days events to watch the C8 unveiling...going to be a great time of comradery with like minded Vette friends.

A while back I noted in a thread about the great German sports car. That some were on a Corvette board talking up like the best thing that ever hit the road with a set of tires. I said that the German cars are not worth the price about them but many times to snobs that want to impress the world. Not that long ago I bought my wife an S Class that had the AMG package on it. The car was a dealership shop *****, with The A, The B, The C, The D taking over the dashboard for another dealership shop callings. That didn’t include the Code calls to the dealership shop. In fairness it was fun to drive and was fast but when the mileage started getting a little over 50,000 I knew the time was ripe to dump it. It was like a boat, 2 happy days, getting it and unloading it. Was the very worst car I ever bought money wise, just pissed money into a black hole. Whenever I see someone driving a German car, idiot and loser come to mind. I have been driving Corvettes from the time I have been 16 years old, my mom’s at that time. At 18 I got my own and have owned a Corvette/s all my life. I can buy whatever I like, I go to the dealer and write a check. I had a girlfriend years back that had a 930, what a POS, always having issues and I would not let her park in the driveway but had her park on the grass. The POS leaked oil and the dealer could not plug it. It only had about 16,000 miles and was under warranty. At the time I had 3 Corvettes and she loved driving my 1972 which was fast and kind of loud, “thrilling” she called it. I have a friend that is a very big in the car business that calls P drivers the Worst douches’ to deal with, even more so than BMW drivers. Tell me that’s not a royal slam from someone in the know. That’s my reality in this world we live in. I would never go to a P site and talk Corvettes because that would be a low class kind of thing because, different cars for different folks.

As a current Porsche owner who has owned three Corvettes, I do not see the need to disparage other owners nor brands. Who knows: if GM had not taken forty years to deliver the mid-engine I might be a Corvette owner today, and so might many others.
