I'll bet this is pretty close. I can't see GM putting a scoop piece sticking out from the door ready to spear people's groins when the door is opened. GM is too conservative for something like that.

In looking at the "C8 Pictures Thread", the car looks out of proportion with the scoop as far forward as it is in camo. The image above looks better proportioned.

We'll see if I eat my words in three days.

Ah, we're just fooling around here. What's it hurt to guess?

If you look at the mules current scoop from the rear, it really sticks out at an odd angle, like a sore thumb. No way GM styling would approve that abortion for production.

Something I had not thought of, but was suggested to me is that the European laws regarding pedestrian safety are extremely stringent. I'd be really surprised if such a pointed construction was acceptable over there.

You'll be a believer in 2 days... it's where the button is for the door.

Was told this by a person who was invited to see the car along with probably hundreds of other (large) dealership owners a while ago.

That's where most of this "leaked" info comes from. Including the LT Base engine which the person that saw the car expressed they thought it was to keep the actuall powertrain under wraps. But I guess they didn't lol.

There's more that this person described including that there will be 3 seat designs not 2 like now and the actual hp number (idr if it was 485 or 500 now? which again they thought was just the corvette team putting it out there (was an emblem or decal on a board next to the car and looked totally out of place like a gag).

Cant wait for this to be over so I can see everything for myself. Seems like it was almost a YEAR ago I got to hear all about what the car looked like. So envious some have that access lol.

Boy, I didn't think that in a discussion of the "scoop" the namesake fish's scoop would have to be pointed out as the subject...

Yeah, dealership owners are notoriously closed mouthed, I can just picture Mary saying “let’s show it to a couple of hundred big-mouths, who can tell everybody they know in the car business exactly what it looks like”. I’ll believe that happened when C8s fly.
