It's always interesting to see the different reactions to new models. If I remember correctly, the Corvette has always been controversial, never an every man/woman's car. Good thing too. I would not want to see everyone driving a 'Vette.
Two years ago, I went to purchase a GS in Atlanta at a major Chev dealer who shall go un-named, but is supposed the be the largest supplier of GS Vettes in the S.E. Walked around the lot for 20 minutes looking at 10-12 cars, 3-4 of which fit my spec. Meanwhile, 5 salesmen sat inside, reading newspapers, Kindles, computers, etc. I finally left. went back to daughter's house, eventually back to Fla. and eventually bought a Jaguar F-Type. Now I am starting to look at the trade in value on my F-Type. I will likely check with my local GM dealers to see anyone here can get a Vette. Doubt I will beg a salesman in the biggest dealership in Atlanta to sell me a Corvette. I guess they make their quota too early in the month.

Yeah but 2.8? Even if it hooks that's not enough HP to do a 0-60 in 2.8 unless the car is very underrated. the 1/4 mile time of 12.0 is about right but it's probably capable of 2-3 tenths faster. If it is doing 2.8 though then it's falling on it's face after that because that should be good enough to run 10's

So which is the right yellow? The first is so much better than the congurator yellow pictured as the second attachment.

I didn't want to be attacked, but after I had walked around the displayed cars for 15-20 minutes, staring at the window stickers, doubling back to 3 or 4 of the same cars, it would seem that 1 or 2 of the guys would have gotten curious as to what this guy who had driven up in a Cadillac SUV was doing looking at these Vettes. I just suppose they had all made their quotas and did not want to go out in the 50 degree Ga. sun.

I stopped by Rick Conti's place in the late fall of 2013 to see my first for real C7 after looking at way too many pictures of them online. Car **** in reality.
But I walked around for maybe 20-30 minutes while he tried to help some kid decide which beat up used Vette would be the best for him. Not a nod and not a word and just a disinterested glance a couple of times. I thought maybe it was the fact that I was driving a pickup, but it cost more than a base 2014 C7, and it is my daily driver which goes out in Ohio's salty winters. So I was irritated after having tried to set up a time by email and getting - just stop by friend, we are always here to help. Then after getting totally blown off during a quiet part of the day there was no sale for wonderboy Rick when it was time for me to finally buy my C7.

Yup, thanks for posting this white Vette on the road. !!
Gives me better perspective of the color when it’s not under show lights, cause I plan ordering white paint.

That was my feeling. I can understand somewhat if a salesman has a customer they are already with. No fair to drop someone just because another possibly better deal walks in, but you can always say, "excuse me , I will be with you shortly, or have someone be right out". Commonone courtese. But to totally ignore a potential customer is bad business.

i Like it! I just hope they did not kill the interior room, it looks tighter than others and the door panel is wide as hell. If I fit, I may have to dust off my old GM Employee discount....
