The more I look at it, I actually like the tail lights.... They look like in person they would be cool

But the overall design is pretty odd.. seems like it would look dated pretty quickly. Still not as bad as the c7 rear IMO. THAT one takes the cake for how-high-were-the-designers

And which committee of accountants decided that since we've only been waiting 60+ years for a ME Corvette, they could just slap the corporate rear and on it and call it a day. After all, we'll be happy with whatever they give us. Won't we? Right? Hello?

Guess I am going to the Car and Driver site and join the 65%.
Back of this car sucks, it did not evolve from the C7, looks like the bastard child of a Camaro and a Sonic.

Default Chevy line

Why does each model have to conform to some dumb Chevy theme? Especially black plastic egg grate grills?

God forbid the Corvette rear not look like a family member of the latest ugly rear of the Camaro and Blazer? Have a C8 on order and will reserve final judgement to the actual reveal!

I'd like to point this out...
Similar tail lights... Big licence plate area... rear vents... widely recognized as one of the best looking cars on earth...

Wow itís a dead heat between like and hate getting about a quarter of the vote each and undecided getting almost half the vote.

Surprising. Would have thought based on posts hate would have outpaced like.

Unless the car in person appears radically different than this rear view leak, wait and see will turn to hate and flee in many cases.

Just goes to show that ticking a bullet list is not in and of itself a path to style

I guess it could have been worse, what is wrong with people. I am not a fan of the spoiler and exhaust tips being square.

Default Why would Chevy set itself up for Camaro Tail light Round two?

I donít understand why after the C7 Camaro tail light debate Chevy caused, they would cause a second round of debate with their first ME all new C8? Do they feel compelled to only that type of tail light look?
Not to mention exhaust pipes that look dated. This shape was on a prior Gen Corvette correct?
I want to really like this car and perhaps reveal will make it all ok !

If it looks like the picture I think we know the answer of what it will do for the value of the C7....they are going to sell a lot more of those C7s sitting on the lot after the reveal.

Well, there was this eccentric guy from Italy that said..."what's behind you doesn't matter". Maybe GM designers misunderstood the intent of his comment?

Or you could say that the C7 sold exceptionally well despite the controversial back end that many still dislike, so it gives the C8 promise as long as the rest is sexy.
