Leaked Rear

I'm not a Ford guy either, ( I have owned three trucks, and three cars, just never "loved " them) But when I saw the new GT, I thought THAT IS BEAUTIFUL!! SLICK ! Of course, TOTALLY different price market. ( not to mention you have to apply for permission to own one)

The price point is irrelevant to the aesthetics. The price point matters when it comes to materials used/craftsmanship/construction methods, plus embedded scarcity.
Saying the rear end of the vette doesn't look as good because its cheaper is silly. There are droves of cheaper vehicles with better rear ends than the way this C8 looks in the leaked picture.
Hopefully this is a long distance shot that has been zoomed in and has removed very important depth from the photo that will make it look better in professional photos and in person.

If you think the leaked C8 rear end looks anything like the Aventador rear end I want ALL of what you're smoking and I'll even pay for overnight shipping.

Logically, I'm withholding judgement until I see the car. That said, I will say that my initial wish is "more Ferrari, less Lambo.' It simply doesn't give an impression of refinement.

Love it or hate it, this design is at least being innovative. It is at least stepping away from what other cars in the Ford line are doing. It is the reason why my neighbor is on a waiting list to buy a car triple the price of a C8 instead of a C8. #FireTadge.

I DO NOT like center cluster exhaust, so I don't car what shape etc the tips are. That part is definitely better to me. Tail lights, whoop de doo doo. They will have no effect on how it performs.

That rear end looks frighteningly like it will be the final item. Is it too much to think that GM is capable of fooling us big time, that this rear end is a clever fake derived from the camo'd drivers, and that the production car will be elegantly American? If this is the real rear end, then the camo'd drivers' front end is accurate too and will be as much a dog's breakfast of lumps and dips as the rear. Sixty years of waiting for a mid-engine Vette, and this is what they come up with? I prefer to think that GM is fooling us for now.

I really like the concept of a mid-engine corvette platform, I just don't think its being executed very well aesthetically right now. Hope the real car looks better at reveal.

100% agree with this
part of the design is built around active aero which is light years beyond what we see on the current mules/renders/leaks of the vette. the channels also help with airflow management, stabiilty, downforce and certainly looks unique and innovative.
I never thought of pigs from angry birds though. That was a good one

I would say it looks more like a Aventador than it does a cruze. Also the c7 zo6 was the first vette I ever wanted and purchased. It maybe that I'm new to the vette family only 3 years in but I'm good with the design direction including the rear. When the c8 zo6 version comes out I will have her.

Hmm, just not seeing the Ferrari picture looking like the *** end of the Camaro or new leaked C8?
I would be pleased if that *** end was the new Vette.
Ignoring who designed it...
