9 days until I知 productive again
I can稚 be the only one distracted by this car. I知 checking this forum a couple times an hour... what is the medicine for my sickness? Hopefully I will go back to normal in 9 days.

I honestly don稚 understand this level of excitement...about anything. I love Corvettes, more than the average Corvette lover and this Is not even on my radar. It痴 just a new model. I値l buy it or I won稚. How many people are going to take off/call in/cancel their prostate exam in order to watch a new Corvette reveal? Makes no sense to me.

I致e been on the forum a long time, but I rarely post. I learned about the search function way back then... in all seriousness, the forum has been very helpful when I had my C5, and it helps me learn more about my current C2. But the C8 section is like a drug, I need more info, and it always provides me with laughter

You are obviously Car-Polar !! ( bi polar, but only in the interest of Corvettes)

I delayed a major car purchase just to see this reveal. I'm digging the Dodge Challenger also.

It will get worse before it gets better. Once the car is revealed, you'll spend even more time looking at all the pictures, videos, and comments about it. Then you'll be soaking in all the specs. Then you'll be reading all the reviews from the magazine and tv types that get early access to it to hype it up and give their initial thoughts on it. So, maybe another 6 months or so before you're back to normal. Enjoy.

The excitement of a new generation corvette is always epic then add in the fact this after 40 odd years is the first rear mid engine generation ......is of course a good reason to be even more excited....
we have these various internet forums to share and discuss various aspects of what we think will be, what we like and what we dont...
its a great time to be a sportscar corvette enthusiast...
8 days to go...
being a glass half full kind of guy....i fully expect greatness out of the various reviews once the automotive press gets their hands on driving examples ...
usually corvettes in each new generation get rave driving reviews...

I am not even in the market to buy a sports car right now...but this reveal is easily one of the most exciting prospects in sports car history. Even if I wasn't already a Corvette fan due to my C7, I would be following this reveal like a hawk due to what it might do to shake up the sports car market. We are already seeing a shift in raw power in the exotics because buyers want to feel like they are getting their money's worth from them. The C8 is also going to offer a true mid engine supercar experience for a fraction of the price...which if we are being honest, is what people have wanted for a long time.
It may not have what every Corvette fan wanted, but every sports car enthusiast has desired an accessible mid engine option that offered most of what only the rich have been able to experience up to now. The Cayman has been the only real option bit it is simply not all that appealing for people who do not have a Porsche dealer within convenient distances or the fact that a less than 400hp sports car somehow commands over $100k when optioned with all the gizmos that make a Porsche a Porsche. The only other car that I can think of that might be neat to own is the Lotus Evora GT, but that would be a performance downgrade from a C7 with Z51.
So you can see why this car has people willing to take time off to go see the reveal or go out of their way to do so. I am hoping a dealer near me on Northern California will get the post reveal tour so I can go and look at the thing in the flesh.

I'm not able to buy one since I have been living in Korea for the past 8 years. I currently have a C5 here, but I'm all excited too.
Now if the rumors are true that military car sales starts selling Chevrolets again, I'll order one as soon as I can. Hopefully by then the ecu will be cracked and a supercharger system will be out for it. Warranty be damned!

Drifting
In 2013 I sold my C6 when I retired , moved to Bali to surf. The roads here narrow and congested. Yes, a few Ferraris, Porsches, and Lamborghinis around but no one seldom drives over 40 mph. Besides showing off , little reason to own a sports car . I drive a Honda scooter 95% of the time, my Suzuki Ignis 5% of the time due to traffic.
I gladly do without driving a nice car for being able to surf the best waves on the planet . With all that said, love cars and excited to see the C8. Really it isn't different than admiring the C2 when it was released when I was 7 years old . I couldn't own a C2 then, choose not to own a C8 now. Regardless, love cars. Attached, this week in Bali.
