Its most likely z51 since thats what they seemed focused on and what was actually on stage. Regardless, the base can't be far behind. I'm thinking 3.0-3.3.

I was being half serious when i wondered if this car would come close to gt3 rs performance (not exact but close). It may be a reality...

Even 3.3 for a base car a 60K is pretty darn good. But I think its the gearing doing the work, not HP.

No word at all on WEIGHT. If it was great they would have said it. Not one word about weight in the entire presentation.

As has already been stated it is due to the rear end that comes with the Z51 package.

Watching how many owners trying to reach 2.9 to 60 in a C8 is going to be epic. Just like watching every other 0 to 60 claim they've made over the years. More interested In 0 to 100 (the modern day "0 to 60") since we now have such powerful fast vehicles that old metric is almost useless unless you live in a city area.

It would be good enough for me too, but it has since been clarified that Z51 is required for the sub 3 second 0-60. The only path to get the performance axle ratio that is required for that launch.

Z51 Performance Package, includes (J55) Z51 performance brakes, (FE3) Z51 performance suspension, (NPP) performance exhaust, (GM7) performance rear axle ratio, (G96) Electronic Limited Slip Differential (eLSD), (T0A) Z51 rear spoiler, front splitter, (XFQ) 245/35ZR19 front and 305/30ZR20 rear, blackwall, high performance tires and (V08) heavy-duty cooling system is with the Z51 package and probably the FE4 package too, which has perf. Maybe that will become a stand alone option at some point.

It may ALSO require FE4, which also requires Z51 and includes "Performance Traction Management
