There was zero mention of the convertible that will come soon. It's smart to trickle things out to build the buzz, but they shared more than I expected tonight.

They showed a few glimpses of the rear deck...no window...but the buttresses look cool. Gotta wait for the replay to become available, at the very end they have a bunch of clips of the C8R and the Vert.

Not that I have found....... No mention of a manual transmission either.

Pretty sure they flashed a shot of the black convertible in the closing segment of more to come along with the C8.R (that we've seen shots of on track).

With the vert you lose the glass window which sucks and it reminds me of a 458 as expected. Given those buttresses being fairly tall I'd just get a coupe.

Thanks for the pics, all!!! I didn't see it in the reveal. Considering the "blocking effect" of the buttress esp. to the right-rear, I'd think a camera of some type would be very helpful. I've seen one mounted just below the right-side, sideview mirror.
Any possibility of that happening?

Burning Brakes
It doesn't look like you gain much openness going from the coupe to a convertible, plus you lose the engine view. I don't see much of a benefit to the convertible in this generation even though I have chosen the convertible over the coupe on my C5, C6,& C7.
