The mystery of Rapid Blue
Can't seem to nail down what this color is actually going to look like. The artist rendering and color sample differ from the configurator quite a bit;
Artist:
(bottom right)
Configurator:
Color sample:
As you can see, very different colors. Will we actually know what it looks like by the order deadline??

Bring that photo in to your nearest Home Depot and try and color match a swatch. Hehehe. Looks "blue" to me. And if this is the only blue offered, I guess it's this or one of eleven other colors. I guess.

I would LOVE for it to look like that artist rendering (I think JSB was the best color ever.) I don't think they'd allow the configurator to be so wildly different from reality though.
Yet the color sample on the board is still quite a different shade from the configurator as well, and that should be just as accurate of a representation.
Sample looks real close to a Lambo blue:
Also Ford "grabber blue" to a lesser extent:

Seems diff colour in diff light. Here is a pic of same board at diff angle. Will be interesting to see in daylight. Also some have mentioned Miami Blue from Porsche. Here’s a new GT2 for comparison

No, not Miami blue...maybe Voodoo or Mexico blue. I like it!

Thanks!!
So that answers my question I have and that nobody has seen the Rapid blue on the car... it’s going to be interesting to see these pics. If you see the voting on the colors rapid blue was the #1 colour choice with torch red only one behind.. so far very popular

If it's anything like Grabber Blue on the Mustang we most likely won't see many, its most likely a 2%ish take rate.

I like all the Porsche light blues but Mexico is the best imo. Miami has more yellow than the rest of the Porsche light blues.

I do worry about it being a straight flat paint though. I normally like my colors to have depth and character (usually metallic/tintcoats.) At the minimum I'd target pearl paints, but this blue based on the name and similar examples looks like it simply won't have any depth...
Has anyone spent time with cars with similar paint and care to comment?

I'd trust the photographed samples vs the online configuration. If you look at Pacific blue metallic it looks sea green online but in person it's more blue than green.
