Don't give up hope yet
Mark Reuss made a small comment after he finished introducing the C8.. He said quote...This is just the beginning.. end Quote. Just maybe the 2021 model may add a manual with other updates. You just never know.

Which stage of grieving is DENIAL?
The manual is dead, gone, buried, kaput, finis, not coming back.
So is manually-controlled spark advance from the steering column - people managed to get over that, too. 90 years ago.

Looks like we have the same group here as they did over on Rennlist who said the manual was dead in the GT3. Their crystal ***** didn't work as well as they thought.

How did you ever manage to turn, "This is just the beginning." into "We'll have a manual transmission."?

So if they did shoehorn a third pedal into a footwell that is too narrow for a third pedal, then we’ll get a ton of posts complaining the pedals are too close. Can’t win!

Manual transmission sales are not high enough to justify the engineering of a manual transmission and GM has already gone to significant lengths to sell the advantages of the DCT so I despite all of the hopes of manual transmission lovers its not going to happen. Modern DCTs are excellent transmissions this will be far better then the current automatic transmission. I am sure they have spent a ton of time studying the Porsche PDK and if they are smart the McLaren DCT so they did not start from square one.
I have driven manuals for 35 years but I chose a DCT for my M2 and a PDK for my Cayman S and I have never regretted those decisions.
