Default KERBECK will not allow anyone to sit inside the tour C8 cars

So I had phoned several times and email several times to see if I could sit inside the tour cars arriving this Friday. I am tall 6’2” and a bit heavy and my C7 is very tight. I explained this in all my emails.

I have a deposit with KERBECK.

I phoned several times last week and sent a total
of 8 separate emails that were un-answered

today I received this reply.

Just posting it so here everyone knows that the cars will NOT be open to sit inside to see how they fit.

The Corvette community as a whole, are caring people and I know you wouldn’t want to see even one person shut out and not be able to see this car and take pictures with it.

Based on the anticipated size of the crowd, it’s only fair that the car must be displayed with the doors locked, but the top will be off during the event.

Once we have available stock units Kerbeck will, as always, allow interested buyers to drive the cars, but that is still a little way off.

Dave

I'm in a similar situation regarding my "fitment"...
When I compare the C8 interior dems to my C5, and the C7 seems to me that the C8 will be tight compared to the C5..

If true this is a MAJOR mistake on GM's part. Why would people drive for miles just to look at a car? We can do that on the internet!!
Wake up Chevy! It's a car not a painting.......

Ok so I take this back it's not Chevy it's the idiots at Kerbeck's, got it! Glad I'm not going there.

We crawled all over the cars at the reveal! Couldn't believe it they said come up!

Thats stupid, you have deposit and can't sit in it!

But maybe GM says No. For whatever reason.

Its NOT GM decision. It’s Kerbeck’s decision.

Other dealers already on tour tour are allowing people to sit in the cars.

Others have posted that Stall Chevy currently has the tour cars at their dealership and are open to sit inside on another thread

I’m only 2 hours from A/C and thought about going to Kerbek to see them. Think I’ll just wait and see them at Carlisle instead. They always let you sit in the newest models there.

I mean really, no sense for me to travel 6 hours if I cannot sit inside.....

but it I wanted to post it so others looking to travel to Kerbeck to sit inside do not travel on that assumption.

Understand not being able to drive the car but NOT being able to sit in it is absolutely ridiculous!

Its 3 hours travel time to get there and 3 hours back......but that is on the assumption I do NOT hit traffic on a Friday. So round trip might actually be longer

I have a deposit with them for C8

Possibly, or possibly they are worried they will have big crowds and do not want to be liable to GM if there is damage to the cars. Who knows. They are the largest volume sales corvette dealer in the USA

I Think they expect a huge turnout, and might think it’s better to keep the cars closed

I'm on vacation and Stall in San Diego has one for today and tomorrow so I went to see it. They allowed us to sit in it and get pics.
