Default 2019 Long Beach Red vs. 2020 Long Beach Red

Can someone tell me if the 2020 Long Beach Red Metallic color is identical to the 2019 LBRM?

That probably sounds like a silly question but after seeing the color on the visualizer and then visiting my local dealer to see it on one of their 2019 models I find a great variation. I liked the color as portrayed online then saw the 2019 version. It is more maroon than red. I was expecting it to be more of a candy apple red as shown online. I'm a fan on the candy apple red shade but not so much of maroon. Thanks

The two are identical. It is definitely more on the maroon side and not even close to candy apple. The current configurator is, imo, not very good at colors. It is a quickee app that was hastily put together. When they get the real thing going on the corvette web site I'm guessing the colors will be much better.

Yes, they appear to be identical. Minus the chrome wheels of course....

Default Long Beach red

It looks more burgundy than the visualizer. Saw one today.

I can't imagine why the color would be different between the two years. The color is a "chameleon", it looks different in the sun and out of the sun. It is brighter and "pops" in the sun, and is darker when not in the sun. I would Not buy a car based on the color the "visualizer" displays. Anyone that does I believe would be disappointed other than the standard colors (Red, Black, White...).

It's also metallic which is just beautiful in the sun.

I also checked out a new C7. I thought in the bright sun the brightest areas did appear candy apple red. Maybe the tintcoat does that. I can see that in the dark it would be more maroon. An interesting paint.

Check this out -- once I saw this, I decided on LBR. This fellow has done a fabulous job.

I don't know the answer to your question but after I saw a couple of 2019 C7s in LBR I changed my order to Sebring Orange. I agree the LBR is too dark.

The original visualizer did a poor job of representing LBR, the newer one looks much better, see attached. This is also the color I ordered, and when I saw it in person at Carlisle, I was sold, stunning 👍👍

When I visited Kerbeck for the same reason, they assured me that both years were the same.

I stewed over this for the longest while, visited local dealers and finally decided to go with the LBR. I'm really excited and anxious to get in and drive (like everyone else on here)! TPW is 3/30. Thanks to Ken Fichtner at Denny Menholt in Billings, MT--w/ R8C, Museum Delivery. LBR, 2LT, tan interior, color matching trim and top. Ready to make my airline reservations, just waiting for the call. Enjoy the ride y'all...

I liked LBR color, but with 2LT with LBR and Adrenaline interior, it is costing me $1600 over budget due to premium, so opted to Shadow grey exterior with Adrenaline red interior with z51 and Mag ride and other goodies.
