Default Corvette script emblem

Corvette script emblem, Dealer installed option for $395 plus installation. Anyone care to elaborate for me? I guess these are the letters on the back. At first I thought they were molded in but then saw them on the pricing sheet...

I’m guessing stock is black letters, and this is just an upcharge for either red, white or blue?

But I see a lot of pics that show no letters at all. Also remember that it shows dealer installed...

Yes Pete, these are the letters on the back of the car. This is a charge for different colors.

The preproduction cars don't have any badging, embossed or applied.

Well that explains it, thanks. But how would the dealer actually change the colors?

That's cheap. Nitrogen is $5.00 a pound, extra if you want the fancy green caps.

I would assume they are peel and stick. Easy to remove and replace by doing it yourself. I'm sure you could find the colored script, when available, on the net for much less than $395.

Or just buy a can of paint for $7 in any color you want and do it yourself. $395

LPO (dealer installed) options generally include installation in the price. If the dealer is charging you extra to install and LPO option, you need to find a different dealer.
