Default Event code 500?

Went to my dealership yesterday who I have a guaranteed allocation with to just add the STI code as I didnt have it in my build. Until yesterday it was sitting as a saved order because the dealership did not yet submit their orders. After adding the STI the sales manager said he by mistake did something and it looks like he submitted the order. The order code then changed to "500 - accepted". He didnt know what the code exactly means but said that all the other saved builds did not have this event code so he must have submitted the build and congratulated me. I left the dealership ecstatic thinking my order was officially submitted and now I just wait for GM to pick the order up. After getting home I looked up the event code 500 and couldnt get an exact answer on what this code actually means and what it means for a 2020 C8 order specifically. I keep seeing the 1100 event code as the beginning steps but nothing about the 500 event code

Anyone know what this exactly means?

I sure wouldn’t have the warm and fuzzies about that. Sounds like maybe they screwed it up or the system choked.

"0500 - Order Configuration Accepted"

This is the status when you have a vehicle configured and not yet submitted.

If you are a dealer building 50 Equinoxes a month, you store a pattern configuration Equinox and then submit them every week, changing colors as needed.

This is not a sold order with your name, nor is it something that GM will look at when it comes time for the order to be placed.
