Default Microfiber steering wheel or leather

I’m up in the air between a micro fiber steering wheel or leather.
What ever one I choose it will have to match the seat inserts.
I never had a micro fiber steering wheel. Has anyone had one. Can you give me the pros and cons. Verse a leather wheel.

I had the same internal debate... Ended up going suede. I have Alcantara seats now and if you are in a warm climate they are awesome. I've always wanted a suede steering wheel... Pretty standard now in the supercar ranks and while the C8 isn't really a supercar... It ticks a lot of supercar boxes.

Go suede it’s feels way better and is easy to clean and maintain! Supercars have suede steering wheels! You want your C8 to be more like a supercar!

I'm getting a suede wheel but not the rest of the interior as I'm getting the Tension/Navy leather interior and there is no option for suede inserts with that interior. The suede wheel looks nicer and is more comfortable in my opinion. And leather wheels look like crap after a few thousand miles, as more and more cars have leather wrapped wheels (even cheap cars like base model Malibus), this continues to be proven. Nothing like getting a dealer loaner with a few thousand miles and getting in to see the leather wheel is all shiny with skin oils from everybody that has touched it

The center hub housing the air bag is textured plastic on the suede steering wheel. It’s stitched leather on the leather wheel.

Nice collection of vettes.
On a side note. I had a 72 lt1 convertible with air. Loved that car.
As for the wheel. A lot of the guys are correct.
I have a friend who owns a exotic car dealership. I sat in a few of his Lambo’s they all had the micro fiber steering wheels. And they do feel nice.
So what if Chevy has taken a lot of exotic car ideas and put them in the best value super car in the world. These types of exotic options are what is putting the Vette in the super car category. Besides the amazing lines and performance.

The Alcantara wheel in my Centennial is the first I have had and I really like it; better than the many leather wheels I have had. The one feature I would choose for a steering wheel is heated. You simply can't beat a heated steering wheel in cold weather.

The issue I have with Alcantara, is that it looks like crap on a car that is used a lot.
Steering wheels and shift **** are the worst.

As a covering on panels and other trim parts, it looks great.

Says who?

More ridiculous made up crap. GM isn't going to make 2 different airbag covers.

I vote suede unless your going 3LT then its a toss up. Had a 2LT leather wheel in my C7 GS and went full suede on my Z06. I love it. Doesnt get hot in the summer and feels great. The 2LT mulan leather feels like absolute crap in comparison to 3LT nappa or suede.

I personally will always pick the suede from now on after experiencing both. See if there's any C7s at dealers near you with suede, mulan and nappa leather and try them. The material is the same in the C8s and will provide you with a good reference about which you prefer.
