Incorrect, I called the CC and was told the C8 is not eligible to use accrued points nor bonus points.
Which card are you talking about; the Capital One GM Card, or the Capital One BuyPower Card? I have the Capital One GM Card and when I called I was told I could redeem up to $1,500.

I believe the exclusion is on the newer GM BuyPower card only. They excluded the 2020 Corvette and one of the posters here included the actual exclusion disclosure. As Big Dave stated, he called , the old GM Card allows $1500
I have the newer CapitalOne GMC World Elite BuyPower MasterCard, and have spoken to at least 5 people at CapitalOne/BuyPower over the last few months. They have all told me the same exact thing: There is NO limit on Points that I can use toward the purchase of my new C8. As far as the $1000 Bonus, the C8 is NOT allowed to participate, and will expire March 2nd.
I also had NO limitations when using my points tobuy my new C7 2017 convertible three years ago.
At least this is how it will work with my CapitalOne card.

I made the same phone call and got the same answer.
I called the GM Buy Power credit card customer service line today and asked if the 2020 C8 was eligible since it was not listed on the list of eligible vehicles. The customer service rep told me to ask my dealer as he did not know.
I have a GM Extended Family Card issued by Capital One. Don’t think my points/$ ever expire and have never had a limitation on using them when purchasing a vehicle. I’ve had the card for probably around 20 years! Don’t remember how the points accumulate!?
