I had planned on going in that direction but after seeing this combo it was too busy for my taste. In addition Tension blue is not an identical match. Ended up going with black seats with blue seatbelt for a bit of contrast.
I also liked this until I saw it in person. There are real pictures out there from SEMA show. Its just my opinion though. There were a lot of people who loved it.
Beauty is, as they say, in the eye of the beholder but for my eye it just isn't anything I would like to look at...I am waitin on the Z but if I was buying today, this would be my choice, though still undecided about the stripes...oh and get the Spider dude.
Unless one is planning to keep the vehicle for a very long time (which doesn’t appear to be a majority on the forum), I’d go with more standard color combinations. These seem cool because they’re new, the blue interior, the “dipped” interior, etc. but they’re not going to look as cool a couple years down the road & I predict we’ll start seeing a lot of “why is my mint condition, 2,500 mi C8 not selling?” Or “the dealer is really low-balling me on my trade” posts & the common denominator will be these poor interior colors/color combinations.
Color choices are very personal. As long as the car looks "put together", I think you'll be fine when going to sell or trade. I personally like blue as car color and if I were looking for a used C8, I'd grab that color combo over a Blue w/ red, Blue w/ black or a Red/red or Red/black (all things being equal).. I personally like the C8 in Zeus Bronze w/ the dipped interior and machine faced wheels. Many here don't. I would never let other's opinions on color sway my buying decision as long as its my money I'm spending.
All personal preference I think it looks spectacular.
I think the car looks best in this color or White with black accents. Porsche has this color and it looks great on 911’s. My last 2 exotics were White.
Im going Rapid Blue on the C8 with the Blue int
if I get tired of it I’ll wrap it White
I think the blue on blue is a real eye catcher. It definitely Pops in traffic and the color itself is pretty cool....That being said, I don't think I could live with it day after day. Walking out to my garage and seeing baby/sky/powder blue every day would get old.
I thought about it, but FOR ME, there are just too many non-matching colors going on there. I'd like to see the dark blue interior color offered as "dipped" with light blue stitching and a set of metallic blue calipers. I think that set-up would be a more subtle alternative to some of the other offerings and go well with a number of the exterior colors.
And if I'm going to put out a wish list, I wish the suede interiors came with a leather covered console.
It will be interesting to see what gets changed over the next few years.
If there was a dark blue it would be my first choice. At some point , with color changes, one will appear.
I agree 100%. The rapid blue is too light.
But if you are going rapid blue. That blue & black combo is the best way to go.
I did my interior with red & black.
