Corvette & electric Corvette: BIG mover for GM (report)
I didn't know where to put this....in the Corvette section....in OT....in PR&C. So mods, feel free to move it where most appropriate or even duplicate it across numerous sections. I think the report is that important.
This is a Morgan Stanley report from this week that details how both the Corvette and a future electric (!) Corvette could be needle-movers for GM.
Report attached. It's a 35-40 page report....VERY detailed.....with financial models and everything....but you can get a quick summary just by reading the first few pages and highlights.

I agree... would be totally cool to see a Corvette SUV. Interesting that they recommend expanding the Corvette brand vs. having Caddy do this expansion which is what GM has stated it was going to do i.e. make Caddy the premium BEV division.

The SUV/ crossover hatred by so called "enthusiasts" is ridiculous. There is many reasons why SUVs and crossovers are extremely popular now compared to sedans and other similar vehicles. And a Corvette SUV would be awesome. I know the Blazer gets a bit of hate, but I actually like it quite a bit. Good looks on the outside and the Camaro inspired interior is awesome. If it had a more powerful engine and a different name I think way more people would like it. Look at the Lamborghini Urus. That thing is selling like crazy and is a great car. A Corvette SUV/crossover would sell like crazy too. Of course, it would **** off the Corvette faithful. They're mad about the C7 taillights. They're made about the C8 being mid engine. Wonder what they'll do when there is a Corvette SUV! Shame on GM for trying to keep the Corvette alive!

As usual, it's too little, too late from GM.
GM was ahead of everyone, and had the first performance trucks before anyone: The Typhoon and the Cyclone.
The Trailblazer SS was a pathetic joke.
I will never understand why GM didn't keep the small sized performance SUV thing going.
I'd have gladly daily driven a Porsche Cayenne of Porsche Macan from GM with a LSx engine and a stick the last 20 years.
Again, too little, too late.
Cadillac was extremely lucky that the Escalade was accepted by certain demographics.......

Thanks for posting the report, although I am not really buying Morgan Stanley's logic. The auto industry is much more fickle than that.
