Side by side C7 and C8 Stingray comparison
Thanks to Sebastian Pietrzyk for these awesome comparison shots. He took his his black C7 Stingray to the Bowling Green Assembly Plant and found a black C8 Stingray in the parking lot with room enough around it to get these shots. Thank you, Sebastian!
NOTE: I forgot to add this initially, but Sebastian's C7 has been lowered on the stock lowering bolts.

The C7 is a great car. And the C8 improved on that.

Thanks for posting, that is pretty cool. You can certainly see the family resemblance.

Those are the best side-by-side photos I've seen. Big thanks to your friend.

The C8 need to be lowered in front about another inch and it would look much better.
I am disappointed that I been told with the front lift option I will not be able to lower the front like I had done on my C7Z.
I would think GM would have figured out a way to lower front on cars that offer a lift system as it would be less of an issue than cars without .

C7 was never my favorite. Glad I sold
mine. C8 fixes everything I disliked. One looks like a regular Corvette, the other is something exotic.

Awesome post. Best car to car comparison I’ve seen. This C7 is holding up very well... makes me think the C8 could have used a little bit more sculpting between the hips in the front. An aftermarket hood will fix that.
Cant wait to drive my C8 in April.

Just my opinions, I don't own a C7 but am considering one within the next month or two or I may wait another year and get a C8. I think the C7 really looks great even next to the C8. It certainly holds its own. I think the exhaust looks tremendously better on the C7, and really just the rear in general. Probably because it just looks more clean and less busy. Wheels can be easily swapped in the aftermarket, but the wheel options on the C7 are also better. Other than these items, I think they both look great in their own way and will be happy to own either. I am looking to get a convertible and the hard top of the C8 is really pulling me towards that model. That and there is just something about new... new tech, new model, new interior, etc.

No way... the low cowl and ventless hood is what makes the C8. Its sleek and simple. The C7s contrasting vents all over it hurt the design.

Man. I don't own either car right now, but might be in the market in the near future. I think the C-7 stands up very well against the C-8. The front and rear views look great on the C-7. The C-8 looks good to but the C-7 in my opinion just looks and flows better. The side view is very interesting. Hmmm-that C-7 looks real good. If I had to choose on looks alone I think I would go with the C-7. Add the mid engine and new transmission in the C-8 and that is where the C-8 will shine. All in, the C-8 is gonna be a great addition to the Corvette generations. Jag--thanks for posting the pics. It is a great comparison.

Thank you for the awesome comparison pics. I was really hoping someone would be able to get this kind of side by side because it is nearly impossible to get a feel for their sizes relative to one another in pictures otherwise. Both cars look great and you can definitely tell they both have Corvette DNA. Jeremy, you continue to be the hero to many on this forum so thank you again!

You can definitely tell design cues and how they are related. It's interesting comparing the two because that's the best color on the C7 and probably the worst color on C8 and it still looks better. The amazing thing is how much wider the c8 looks. The rear on the c8 is so much better IMO.

Great shots, thank you. IMO, the C7 holds up better than I thought it would. Still a great looking car. The C8 does have a "busy" back end and looks under "tired". The GM fender to tire gaps are ridiculous, they need to be more like BMW M or Porsche.

IMO, the C7 more than holds its own. The only part that looks dated in comparison is the rear end.
