Punky the difference between the Corvette and the Ferrari is that the Ferrari truly is a hand crafted work of art.
The Corvette is a well engineered mass produce production car that is available at a tremendous value for what you get.
But its not in the same league as a Ferrari and thats ok when the Ferrari is 5 time the cost of a C8 it should not be comparable.
The Corvette is a great testament to American ingenuity and is a great car and well done .
The Ferrari is hand built with the highest quality standards of old world craftsmanship.
I would agree that the Ferrari is not 5 times better than a Corvette but anyone who owns both will tell you that the Ferrari is in a whole different league than Corvette.
Please don't give me your import humper **** as I have 2 Corvettes sitting in my garage next to my Ferrari.

I surly don't understand why anyone would want to put Ferrari badge on a Corvette? Make no sense to me i know I am proud to drive my Corvettes and gladly would tell anyone who mistakenly thought it was a Ferrari that it not and was Corvette.
I know it just kills you Punky that their are other cars made around the world that are as good or better than a Corvette and anyone who appreciates those other makes is a quote import humper. There are lots of Corvette Forum members who also own Ferrari.
Your just not a CAR GUY which is OK just know that their are lot of car guys on this forum and you throw out insults to those of us that have a wide ranging appeal of many types of sports cars along with are love for Corvette.
Just proves how generic and similar the C8 is to their Italian competitors...
To me it proves people want things they can’t afford but don’t appreciate what they can afford. A Corvette is an amazing car. I don’t need people to say “it looks like a Ferrari”. It’s not like a C8 is actually cheap either. Be happy you’re lucky enough to afford such an awesome car.

Not really sure that the old world actually made things better. Not sure robotic work is inferior to hand made. I am sure that "old world craftsmanship" is just a saying to help sell over priced goods

Have you owned a Ferrari? If so i don't need to explain the appeal or the differences between a hand crafted hand build low production vehicle and that compared to a mass production vehicle.
Love both Corvette and Ferrari but the Ferrari is the best drivers car of any i have every owned and there not too many brands i have not owned at some point.
If you never owned or driven a Ferrari the appeal is hard to explain it just does everything exceptionally well.

So riddle me this. Why would GM elect to "hand build" (it's not exactly as it sounds) certain Corvette engines vs the others that are not? After all, Robotic is better, right?
