Default Took the plunge

Well,
This weekend I ordered my first car ever . I went to see Reggie Stagmeir at Jim Ellis - the fellow who I bought my LRG C7 from in 2014.
This will be my 4th new vette - but the first one I had to order - and had to wait for.

As everyone here is well aware - C8's are sold out nationwide and used are approaching 2x sticker. So, we are hunkering down for the long haul. Our car will be a 2021. I'll update this thread as we move thru the phases ( if anyone cares )

In addition to being my first car order - this will be my first automatic Corvette - but I am keeping the C7 - so I think I will be ok. (first world problems i'm sure)

Went with ZBM/3LT/Z51/MagRide/SkyCoolGrey-2tone and a stripe
well - here we go!

Here it is in the service bay waiting to do the PDI.

It looks fantastic out in the sunlight. The bronze metallic really pops! I hope to pick it up tomorrow.

Where are you on the list? Did he give you an idea of the wait? When I spoke to him there were about 200 on the list and he had about 20 allocations per month

My 3LT Z51 ZBM was just delivered this morning to my dealer in E. Providence, RI. I have to make an appointment to do the paperwork and who knows how long it will taken to get me Veteran plates at a MA RMV. Many are closed due to Covid-19 and others are by appointment only. After waiting a year, what’s a few more days?

He said it should be about year. I am hoping for less, but will do the time.

When I finally made up my mind to get one, I really thought a quick google and a run up to Reggie or Atlantic City and I would be in. When I saw Kerbeck was devoid of any stock I knew I had better act.

If things free up in that period - I may find one to jump on, but I really like this color and Reggie thinks its not very popular. So - will likely just wait.....

[QUOTE= As everyone here is well aware - C8's are sold out nationwide and used are approaching 2x sticker.

2x sticker? People are paying twice the sticker price for a low-mile C8? If so, that buyer would face neverending shaming on this forum and I haven't seen any such postings.

I thought I read on this forum that ZBM is a one year color? 2020 only?

Harvey,
when we saw the 3lt for 139,000 with 1700miles and the 2lt for 119,000 with 200 miles, I said - so these are not really for sale. (thinking similar to yourself). Reggie said the used guys have sold 6 of them at that price point. I was astonished. but - if you dont want to wait - you have to pay.

So - Harvey - if you want to make a quick buck - I think the market is there. I'm not in that income tax bracket however. :O)
