Default 22mm Titan lug nut socket. NICE!

Received my 22mm lug socket and I'm very happy. It is 6" long and weighs about 2 lbs. The quality looks real good. There was a question if it would hold up to 140ft lb and I think it will be no problem!

Got the same socket and can confirm it does the job nicely at 140 ft-lb.

Just making sure: Is this because the lug nuts on the C8 are metric??

It's got reliefs at the corners so the torque is applied to the flats of the lug. If your deep well at home has the same, then nothing is different.

Very little. It is easier to use without a short extension compared to a regular length deep socket or standard length socket.

Ill probably get one. just like having a lot of tools. When my father passed he had 21 ea. 1/2" 3/8 drive sockets. You have got to be prepared.

Also has non-marring core and sleeve.

Is 140 ft/lbs the torque for the C8 lug nuts? That is a lot of torque.

Yes, that is the correct lug nut torque for the C8. See Ask Tadge reply on this: Change in lug nut size and wheel torque

As the lug nuts are larger than those on the C7 Corvettes, the new torque specification for the 2020 Corvette's lug nuts is now 140 lb ft.

Yup I got one of those sockets also. I was not sure that my Harbor Freight torque wrench was up to the task. My friend gave me his 4 foot long $800 torque wrench that he bought to pull wheels on his Porsche GT3RS that had a single center hub. The large nut had to be torqued to 600 ft lbs. I should have no trouble torquing the C8 wheels to 140 ft lbs.
