Default C8 or 2019 Z06

I got a choice to make between a 2020 c8 lt3 with 300 miles or a 19 z06 with 175 miles at $30,000 less. Is the c8 worth it over the z06.

Buy the C7 Z06. Invest the $30K difference and in a few years trade in the C7 and pay cash for a brand new C8 Z06.

Noway is a base model 2020 C8 worth $30K more than a 2019 C7 Z. No way.

how much are they each and

if you can get a great deal on the Z, do it and then trade it in for a c8 z06. you'll lose the least amount of money this way.

Depends what your plans are. Keep it long term vs track it and worry about resale etc. I had the same decision last year and the C8 was worth it for me. Much better interior etc. Now only you can ask what is worth for the mission you want it for.

There is no way I’d take a C8 over a C7Z. Especially with the discount on the Z. It’s a win win Imo.

I have a new C8 Z51 and had a 15 Z06.

The Z06 is more raw especially with a manual but truly is dated especially in interior quality compared to my new C8. The Z06 sounds better but that can be fixed with an exhaust. If you want a manual then a Z06 is you only choice. If your buying a C8 that happens to be available on the open market then your paying a premium and or it will be gone before you can decide.

You dont need a bunch of internet strangers to tell you what to do. Figure out what you like better and get it...or dont. Very simple.

Definitive! Why going for an old design C7? if the ME DCT C8 is a better performing car, or better yet wait for the DOHC C8 Z06

I personally would choose a C7 Z06 over a C8 because I like manuals, the C7 interior is still light years better than my C5, and the raw power-house 650 HP car appeals to be. That said the C8 is awesome and enough performance for most with a great interior. Only you can decide what you want in the car and which car would best meet those needs.

"Better performing" definitely depends on the owners use. The C8 has superior traction, but that only helps it in some performance metrics compared to a C7 Z06.

If money is not a concern and you want the latest toy NOW then get the c8. Even though it’s not a faster car in every metric. If you’re looking for best value for the dollar then obviously it’s the z06. Yes the interior is nicer in the c8 but the c7 is not DATED as so many here who love to justify their purchases love to say. It’s still very nice to look at and a nice place to be. That said c8 is nicer but not 30k nicer my man.

All comes down to pocket book. If you’re the kind of guy eco has scratch to toss around at new toys without a care fit how much they jump on the c8.

i suspect you’re not though just by the nature of the fact that you had to ask for opinions here. Someone who deep pockets would have already bought the c8. Just my opinion.

Post the same question on the C7 forum and see what the answers are. You will probably get better feedback from those that actually own the Z06 than those that are just saying buy the C8 because its new and shiny.

That’s true. That’s why I have my honest Unbiased opinion. I’m a current z owner waiting on c8z06. That said the base c8 is a fantastic car and I love it but I also love my car. They are different looks and different driving experiences. I don’t see one as better than the other. Both awesome. I know in the c8 fanboy forum in supposed dog the c7 and praise c8. I’m not that guy. To me it’s no different than saying the 488 is a way better car than an 812 superfast. One isn’t better they are different. Why does c7/c8 have to be any different?

With a $30K difference it would be nice to know how much of that is ADM. I would have a hard time paying over msrp for a toy.
