I just googled GM TSBs and looked at several and they seemed to involve multiple model years across different GM brands. Just at a glance, if you believe this one is typical of a GM TSB it looks like it would involve a lot of cars.
Look at the Corvette TSB's from 2014. I guarantee you I have not had a single issue that required any dealer service - just standard maintenance - oil changes, clutch fluid (M7), etc. I know there were TSBs (I was heavily involved in the C7 forum), but none of them impacted my car.. TSBs can be very broad impacting multiple models (common parts) or very limited (for example, caused by a bad batch of supplier parts not discovered until in customer hands). There is no "typical" TSB.
C8 owner posted his front latch recall notice on FB. He attached video with the notice as it appeared on the car's display. It was clearly a recall and not a TSB. This was posted about 3 hours ago. This may be VIN specific. Just passing along the info...

I got this as well i just posted screen shots to the forum
Recall and software update confirmed. All those prior posts at the beginning of this thread may be wrong. GM updating everyone’s cars now with a software patch. Letters to follow. Should find out from letter if further action needed at dealership. Stay tuned and keep your fingers crossed!
*correction* reports suggest this update is sleep mode related. However a recall letter is apparently also coming in the mail. Could all be part of GM engineers looking into frunk opening problems.

This update is a different problem. The emergency release button in the frunk does not function in low power mode. It must function at all times as it is the emergency escape for a person trapped in the frunk.
Just saw someone state that GM has issued a recall for the frunk lid problem which was news to me. In my search for recalls and TSBs I found this interesting chart which goes back to the 1979 Corvette. The number of TSBs increase in a straight line all the way back to 1979. My guess is that the C8 will continue this trend.
So are you cancelling the order you haven’t and are not going to place for a new Corvette?

That is primarily a function of increasing safety requirements, regulations, and consumer awareness over time. Recalls in 1979 were almost unheard of, and it's not because the quality was better. In actuality, it was far worse, but the consumer was stuck with whatever problems emerged.

You're full of it. The order's in and I'm in no hurry.. Looks like they fixed the "flying frunk" problem today regardless of what GM said the recall fix was for.

A big thank you to all the early adopters!!
Good thing you aren’t in a hurry. Tomorrow is a year since I placed my deposit at the dealership and I’m at event code 3000 awaiting a TPW. Thanks UAWeasels.
