Buying a C8 at 30, so yeah. You’re probably spot on. I’m here because it’s a great car.
I’m the young new buyer that Chevy is banking on with the C8. Not really into American cars, but I like how European the C8 feels. I’m not into the history of the brand or the old cars. I just want the best car at the best price.
Amazing, 4 sentences and every one of them has "I", you certainly have that millennial tone, it's all about you!
I always wave at Corvettes. Mine is very nice so it attracts a lot of attention which makes it easy to acknowledge other vettes. Some don't respond, it's usually the older ladies that don't pay attention. Get the thumbs up from a lot of people in different cars, especially Camaro"s.
I don't care what year Corvette it is. I always wave. I have to admit that I've missed waving at a couple of C8's. I have to get used to the new body style.

I'll wave to any Corvette. I even wave when I'm not in the Vette. Habit I guess.
Tracy - There were 4 of the Hurst 300's at the Mecum Kissimmee auction in 2019. I didn't see them go across the block so I don't don't if they sold or for what price. I was surprised to see that many in one place. I looked to buy one in Las Vegas back in 1994 but it was a bondo queen so I passed.
I always wave when in my Corvette at any other Corvette. Even if it is a shitbox. Its a hobby, we are all enthusiast here for fun. Nobody needs a Corvette. Those that need a hierarchy of standing based off the car they are driving are compensating.
Funny enough my daily is a Jeep Wrangler. Most owners wave too.
Did the motorcycle thing for a while.... most riders wave as they see being on 2 wheels as part of a club. Not exclusively, but most of the non wavers are on Harley's... well at least to guys on sport bikes.

Fair enough.
Try and wave once in a while. You might find it puts a smile on your face.

You're new. Welcome to the club. I suggest looking into your local NCCC chapter and see what events they will be having next year. Attend a few shows, maybe even some racing events. I think you will find the members and their appreciation of the history of the brand attractive. My club does shows, cruises, ralleyes, charitable fund raisers, host bingo at retirement homes and so forth. I am not saying you have to join but you will have a good time at the public events.

Thank you. I’m sure I will come around to the Corvette community and learn more about the older cars in time. I’ll look into my local events in 2021. Thanks again.
