Default Auto Dimming Side Mirror Issue

Has anyone seen anything like this before? My drivers side mirror keeps dimming each time I turn in the car. I haven’t had this issue until today.

It slowly fades back over time, but not fully. When I power cycle the car, it darkens again.

I'm pretty sure there is a setting you can change via the vehicle set up on the infotainment screen not to dim the mirrors. I may be wrong, but I recall there is a setting there.

I think I actually figured it out. I hung my radar with the suction cup behind the mirror and I think it was blocking some kind of light sensor.

That probably is it. It has to get that it is dark outside from someplace.

Yeah, someone said the light sensor is in the side mirror itself, but I think that might be the one that picks up headlights, but the one up by the mirror is the one that must know if it's daylight or night time outside.

Either way, seems to be OK. Sucks because I liked that spot for the radar too...

Normal if the mirror sensor recognizes it is dark outside, even if it is just something over the sensor.
