FWIW, I installed two screens, one over each AC Condenser up front. My main reason was possible stones hitting and causing a hole on the AC Condenser. That happened on my C6, or service manager thought, and said GM would not cover even thought it was only 6 months old as a stone hitting the AC Condenser is not covered. Turns out I proved the hole was NOT caused by a stone and was reimbursed the full $800 cost for a new Condense. To protect the new Condenser I installed an aftermarket Stainless Steel protector. Also effective in stopping leaves and some bugs.
The two small Condenser areas that are not covered and visible from the center are but are insignificant in size re stones, bugs and leaves. Foolish IMO to worry about. And I have plenty of mesh left from my Custom Car Gills to make those (which sit on a different plan) AND the coolant rad in the passenger rear fender side of my Z51. Decided since leaves can drop from the right side rad, putting mesh to cover the side vent could mean frequent clearing off leaves etc that could restrict flow. The Driver's side fender vent is only bringing air to the engine compartment. There is a large fan that pulls in air when needed to cool the engine compartment after parking on a hot day, etc.
Well, I did install the 360 Challenge front mesh grills on my street driven 360
A popular mod with the Challenge rear grill
I didn't see the point... and, when I get enough rock chips and bugs that don't come off (my car's silver) I just have the front resprayed...same thing with my Vettes....

Simple answer?
I plan to track my C8........... alot
Over the past 10 years I tracked my Ferrari 360 4-6 times a year
If you did this you would know you pick up, and discard, large chunks of tire rubber. I would find them in the lower side scoops & on the exposed inner surface my rims. Along with black rubber smudge marks on the rocker pnls & front bumper.
It's just a barrier to keep debris out of the radiator cavity. If you've had past issues or predict future ones, it's one line of defence that's barely visible
Much like I don't understand why you would buy a Corvette & not get the Z51 package. Or opt for a base 1LT (no PDR). We all have different priorities

Growing old is mandatory - growing up is optional. I'm not there yet (75)

Yep 78 but turn 19 when I get in the Vette! Note did not say 17 as did foolish things with my cars until I turned 19!
My hero was Paul Newman, who won an SCCA race at 82! But as I get older Chris Karamesines, at 89 and still going 300+ mph in his AA/Fuel Dragster at a couple of National NHRA events each year - has taken his place!
I put in two front ones without the two middle ones with Zip ties today and it was not that easy, but I got it done. Trying to feed those damn zip ties in and bend them around real PITA. I finally took a dental tool and bent a hook in one end. Used the customcargrill product. I think it looks better and did it for function also

I agree about getting those ties in being a PITA. I put in all 4 a couple weeks ago. My arms were a bit scratched up but its done and looks great.

I had to use thin black plastic ties to put through the 1/8 inch drilled holes after removing the center gill bar so none were visible. That made it easier to get the end back though the Custom Car Grill screen. But I bent the end and used a dentil pick as well.
Getting the center bar off (bolts from the rear) and back on takes longer. In my How To Install PDF I show the two oprtions. The Custom Car Grill video only shows attaching with the plastic ties visible.
This is the 28 Pic/Detailed Caption "How To" of my install of the C8 AC Condenser Mesh Protectors (and Splitter) http://netwelding.com/CF_Splitter.pdf
