This is how you can waste your time during Covid....
I received the last digits of my 2021 HTC VIN with a TPW of today (12/14/2020) from my dealer. I've got the entire VIN number figured out less the "security" digit which has to be a 0-9. Tried 10 times on MyChevy and I'm guessing the full VIN won't be in the entire GM system until some later stage at or after assembly this week.
Will the MyChevy app accept the VIN the day after production?

It might but it won't do you any good.
The MyChev app relies on OnStar to be activated. That can only (officially) be activated when you first sit in the car and press the blue button and talk to a rep. OnStar itself has had a lot of debate, and personally I don't need it. The MyChev app is worthless without it though.

You can open an account once you have your full VIN, but will not be able to activate the remote services until OnStar has been activated by yourself in car, or the dealer. I set up my account with my VIN while at status 3400, but only got the use of Connected Services after the dealership activated OnStar last week. I am currently status 4800 waiting at the train yard. I can see it in the lot on the app which is cool, but am not sure how much I would use this after I take delivery.

As I posted in your other thread, the check digit can also be 'X'.

You can use this site to determine the check digit. Put any random digit in the check digit position and the calculator will fix it for you.
Note that the 5th digit for 2021 (A, B, C for 1LT, 2LT, 3LT respectively) is different from that of 2020 (6, 7, 8) https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/decoder/CheckDigit/Index/

This.... Or your dealer can activate it for you and you get a code sent to you.
The latter is what happened to me. My car was courtesy delivery to my local dealer. I was at 4200 and able to track the shipping truck coming and met him at the dealer to watch my car get pulled off. Now I have to wait for a PDI hopefully tomorrow.
