Obviously it voids the warranty. But the average person would not be tracking it all day, so most of us could be practical and not burn up the clutches in the first year. More than anything, maybe this is simply a preview of the possibilities to come if the DCT ever gets beefier.

Look at all the issues with the DCT straight out of the box. We know it’s only rated for 590 tq, so good luck bolting one of these on and not destroying the transmission within the first few spirited pulls

The half-shafts should go first - as a design safety - before the trans breaks. But then sometimes those inexpensive engineering features don't kick in on time.

They are making stronger aftermarket half shafts now. So if people install those, the trans is going first.
