I have heard that GM spent about a billion dollars on the platform. Whether or not an SUV is called a Corvette or not, I would not be surprised to see an SUV using this platform. That's a lot of money for one vehicle.

If so (and I'd be fine with it), hopefully they split Corvette from Chevy and it is its own brand (probably sold through Caddy dealers).
Lambo/Porsche and other hot SUVs are selling well from companies that traditionally only made sedans/coupes... why not a Corvette SUV?
You say that like being at a Caddy dealer is a good thing. THEY SUCK.....trust me, I have one now.
I would like to see them sell direct to customers, like a Tesla...but that wont happen.

Well, I get it... and YMMV... but the big Corvette dealer(s) in my area blow *** and I wouldn't step foot in them. The Crest Caddy in Frisco, TX has always been great to me and definitely seems better than the Cheby dealers in the area.
Why? Do you know how many Porsche owners said that, who now lust over the Cayenne? I doubt THAT lit blip at the back of a corporate promo video is how they would break the news (or leak it) but I’d be ok with it.

That's true! There are many Porsche & BMW SUV's these days. I just always pictured Corvettes as a sports car, never as a SUV. If they do it I guess it would most likely be an electric vehicle?
Caddy is definitely going to get an electric sports car and SUV. That way, folks who don't want to buy a Corvette from Chevy dealers will have an option to go first class with Caddy. Those who want "value" will have to deal with Chevy.
Porsche sells more Macan/Cayenne’s than all their other sports cars. SUV’s saved the Porsche financially and you can have the best of both worlds - sporty car that you can drive all year.

Porsche is a make, Cayenne is a model. Porsche does not make a 911 SUV. Chevrolet is the make, Corvette is the model. No matter how bad Corvette owners want GM to, Corvette will not be it's own brand/make. How well did that work out for Chrysler and SRT?
