I talked to Dennis Fichtner (406-698-6355) yesterday on another matter, and asked him about the price of an extended warranty on a C8. You may recall Ken Fichtner and family had a dealership in Montana and also sold the extended warranties. He gave a quick cost for a 7 year (from date of delivery, so its really 4 more years), no deductible, at about $2,000.
Given the reliability and all the electronics in today's cars, this might be of interest. If you're interested, call him; he's a good guy.

This seems to be a really misunderstood part of the process. Think of the extended warranty as extending the "bumper to bumper" from 3 to 5 years, and must be bought at time of purchase. I've seen people quote around 1200-1800 for this, but I have no personal experience, and am interested in the real answer to this as well.
The Chevy Protection Plan (what you by from Fitchner and others) is not what the OP is asking about.

And since it is only one term (meaning extending the factory warranty to 5 years/60,000 miles with a $0 deductible) the cost of the warranty to the dealer should be exactly the same for a C8.
Curious if the extended warranty will cover track duties until the extended time?
Don't see why it wouldn't be covered. What would be interesting to see is if it extends other things that wear out soon (battery, brake rotors, etc.) for that period.
FYI, the Extended Limited Warranty is not available for vehicles sold in California, Florida, Maine, Minnesota.
See dealer for limited warranty details.
What would the case be for someone to buy at Mickey M's and pick it up in New Hampshire and bring it to California to live? Still covered or would none of the dealers cover the car?
I have had extended warranty b4 on other cars It does not cover wear and Tear items such as brakes battery etc, also a word of Warning stay away from CAR SHIELD it is an aftermarket warranty, they don't cover when there is a legitimate repair and since they are located in GA. taking legal action is near wasteful

Normal wear items like brakes are not covered by any warranty, unless there's a manufacturing defect. IOW, if a brake rotor breaks, the warranty cover is. If it just wears out, the warranty doesn't. Same with pads. Not sure about the battery.

I do know they covered C7 batteries for the duration of the bumper to bumper warranty.
Has anyone purchased a pumper to pumper Extended Warranty through the dealer, upon delivery of their C8, How much did it cost?
I do not use the GM Warranty i have State Farm insurance and they offer a totally free warranty after cars expires. BUMPER TO BUMPER WITH A $250 deductible. I believe it is 7 years 100000 miles.

I bought a 10 year 100k mile bumper to bumper no deductible warranty through Zurich on my '21 C8 for $3,900 - the GM plan only goes for 6 years if my memory serves me. The stereo or A/C would cost almost that much if they fail. I can get a refund for the unused portion if I sell at a later date.
The Zurich plans are really good and I have used them on other vehicles and never had a problem.
