Just checking to see if anyone has had issues with their side skirts holding on. Our dealer put the side skirts on and within a week the 3M tape started separating from the car. So took it back in and they took out the rivets to reset the skirts. They added more 3M to it this time and again it is pulling away from the car. Any other similar issues? Any tricks or guidance that has positive results? Thank you all!

Google 2020 Corvette 5VM/5WB Carbon Fiber Ground Effects Installation. Get your installer to use the products the installer in the video does and follow the steps. I used this video when I installed my 5VM package back in July and have had no problems.
Your dealer should follow the instructions from GM on how to install the 5Vm rockers. Gm instructions call for silicone and promoter, rivets, side bolts and bottom bolts
I followed those instructions and my 5vm are rock solid
The directions for the factory side skirts call for 3M urethane windsheild adhesive along with the adhesive promoter to be applied along the length of the top edge. This in conjunction with the 3M applied VHB tape, rear bolt and bottom rivets. Have them pull up these instructions and follow them. If they do, they won't go anywhere. Instuction ID: 23380505 How to cut the tip... Where the 3M 08682 Primer/Promoter and 3M 08609 Urethane is applied...NOT silicone!
Yep I used adhesion promotor even for the small amount of 3M tape I used.

Yep, the GM procedure uses a strong 3M adhesive in addition to the 3M double sided tape.
Frankly my C7 Carbon Side Skirts (currently ~$1600 for the side skirts and splitter) don't use either OR that rear bolt! They are made from fiberglass and for a ~two hundred dollars more than the carbon flash painted ones I bought they use final layer of real visible carbon fiber cloth. Because they are thicker and rigid they also don't require drilling a 3/8 inch hole in the rear fender. The 7 bottom rivets and factory bolt hold it securely BUT I did add some 3M Double Side automotive tape.

You don't want the dealer techs drilling out the rivets too many times.
Thank you all for the feedback and advice. I do believe this is a lack of attention to detail and the dealer/tech just winging it. I have used this dealer quite extensively for service and have always been satisfied with the work. This is my first brand new car and first time dealing with this dealer as far as purchasing and what a disappointment the entire process has been.
