Making the center console narrower would require redesigning the entire chassis. The main structural element of the cars is that central tunnel. And putting the controls on a screen, instead of physical controls is a huge step backwards. Ever try changing things on a Tesla while driving in traffic?

In spite of what MT says (and they're hardly the most credible source out there), I don't see GM changing much of anything on a car that is selling as hot as the C8. The interior clearly isn't keeping people from buying it.

Save money and make every HVAC setting harder to use, and require you to take your eyes off the road for a longer period of time. Touch screen controls are stupid and dangerous.

Great idea, hopefully they will get rid of that wall between the driver and passenger. The way things were going, the next iteration would be to completely wall-off the passenger into their own cubicle.

I wouldn't mind a larger center screen, and a less cluttered appearance around the buttons area. The wall dividing driver and passenger could be lower too. But the main thing I don't like is all the Chrome looking trim around the door handles, the center of the steering wheel, and the like. I know its plastic meant to look like polished aluminum, but it just looks fake Chrome to me. No Corvette, or any modern sports car for that matter, should have anything that looks like Chrome anywhere on it.
I agree that radio controls and HVAC controls are better off not on a touchscreen display, they should have their own physical button with a tactile feel that can be accessed without having to pick it out of a sub menu..
