Sorry if this has been answered before. I am in the process of buying some aftermarket wheels for my C8 Z51. I am getting 19x8.5 for the front and 20x11 for the rear so I can reuse my stock tires. The issue is im coming across different information regarding offset. Some sources are saying I need a different offset for my car since I have a z51 to not rub the calipers, the other saying all C8s require the same offset. My question is what offsets do I need to look for in my aftermarket wheels for a Z51 C8?
Some, possibly most, of the aftermarket wheels have a slightly different offset than stock. The theory is that by moving the wheel "out" a little more it fills in the wheel wells better.
No clear cut answer for offsets. Some people want more than others for that certain look. If you go with some of the main suppliers seen on here they will work you threw different scenarios they already have and I’m sure one will easily fit your taste.
Offset on aftermarket can differ from OEM for another reason... essentially, that being one-size (or a few) will "fit" the most different vehicles for the least production cost.
