I love black...Looks rich, doesn't show dirt and rub marks like the lighter colors. Blue Jean staining isn't an issue and makes the ladies stand out when they wear color.
Ordered and received a red mist 2021 with 3LT trim/black seats w/red stitching. Absolutely love it, debated about getting the stitching or not in red but glad I did. Provides just the right amount of contrast. Also glad I went with all black because I did not want any glare on the front windshield. Did add carbon fiber on the interior, again, a nice offset to the solid black. Nothing but compliments from others. Last thing I might mention, have a friend that didn't want to wait and settled for seats with suede inserts (sky cool gray I think). Says they're hard to keep clean, and if done again, he would go all leather.
I have an inbound 21 SOT 2LT with Jet Black Nappa with the suede inserts. I expect no issues with “heat”. My last 3 911’s all had black interiors and living in SoCal where in the summer it will hit over 100F, I’ve never had an issue with the inside being too hot. I do however have had all the windows ceramic coated and use a windshield reflector, and will do the same on the C8.
gearup72 did you order that lighter color stitching or is that a standard stich for the 2LT jet black seats? i have a 2LT HTC on order with the jet black mulan leather seats (Trim build code HTA) and i'm curious if the stitching will be black.
An all black interior is the most edgy hardcore sporty look... Any other color in the interior including any stitching or piping or inserts or seat belts will soften the character of the car which is fine if that's what you want.
I almost went with black exterior, but I have 3 cars that are black (Explorer, Civic, Fusion). I went with Elkhart Lake Blue on the outside and two-tone in the inside, although I haven't seen this two-tone many times. To mix it up a little went with the blue seat belts.

I went with black interior in my 2LT, with GT2 seats and red seatbelts. I was considering a lighter color interior but didn’t like the windshield reflection.
We have had some form of beige interior in almost every vehicle we’ve owned. And that’s a lot of cars. I don’t ever remember having black interior. But I really didn’t like the reflection from the lighter interior in the C8. So we went with black interior in our LBR HTC. I admit I was a little worried until we picked up the car. No regrets. If it’s hotter I can’t tell.
