I have noticed that I have streaking inside the both headlight enclosures. It is like a fluid has run down from the top. I have taken it to my local dealer and they have confirmed the issue and are getting with GM for a solution. Anyone else experience this? I am concerned that if they need to replace the headlights they will need to disassemble the front of the car which always makes me nervous.
While probably not recommended on a brand new car, this was a big issue for the NSX rear tail lights. The fix was to drill a couple of very tiny holes along the lower edge kind of underneath to allow the water to drip and evaporate out. They were nearly invisible even from inches away and it completely cured the problem. Others went down the road of spending a ton of time and $$$ replacing seals only to have it happen again a couple of years later.
If the assemblies are leaking then they are defective and should be replaced under warranty.
Absolutely agree, the issue will not improve with age. Get it corrected under warranty, as you see above____________ this is a ticket you do not want to munch on.
I had this also. Was present for about 3 weeks and then it went completely away. No streak on the inside headlight glass anymore. Maybe give it some time before taking anything apart.....Patience
I have it on my driver's side headlamp cover. Noticed it shortly after taking delivery. I don't think it's gotten any worse or better since. 2020 HTC 3LT.
