Default NCM Delevery Cancelled

I received this message from the NCM the other day. My car was built about 10 days ago, Vin # 6124. I'm stuck at 3800- anyone else in this same situation? Does anyone know anything about the wheel problem?

I suspect that your car is part of a large batch needing a wheel replacement. They are working diligently to get the proper wheels from the supplier.

That really sucks, sorry to hear that. What wheels did you have on order? Which tires? Might help people to figure out if they’ll be delayed or not.

Sorry to hear this - it has to be heartbreaking to be so close and have a delay occur.

I'm #6364, but at 4000. Hopefully we get them soon.

I think I am closing in on the record for the forever 4000 club for September Allocations. Mine was built on 11/2, VIN 5772. Shane told me the exact same thing about the wheel issue and that my car is most likely a part of it. My wheels are Spectra Grey Tridents. What's even worse for me is I have already paid for the car in full as well as taxes and registration.

That's an automatic with my insurance. I'm covered the day I purchased the car.

My C8 has been built for 3 weeks still in QC. It might be months before they get new wheels. Why do not they just upgrade the wheels?

Same here. Car is paid in full with insurance and do not have car yet. I already bought forged aftermarket wheels for the C8. The reason why I didn’t opt to upgrade the oem wheels.

Wow. If your QC hold is due to the wheel issue I feel for you since you are replacing the wheels anyway. You may want to reach out to your dealer and let him know this. It's a long shot that they would do anything, but might be worth the effort to try.

I also paid for the car plus the tax. I think it's time we hear from GM on this issue. GM if you are monitoring this web site please let us know what's going on.

Is this a continuation of the porous casting issue? OR... simply a material shortage of some kind on the supplier end?

This is where if you are replacing the wheels anyway they should allow you to go ahead and put your aftermarket's on lol. I did hear that they would not do anything in regards to wheels at the museum.
