Default Which C8 Radiator Screens do you recommend?

I am about to buy radiator screens for my C8 which I hope to have by May. So I’d like to get a consensus on which radiator screen manufacturer/supplier makes the best screens.

Feel free to post pics of your installed radiator screens!

My definition of “best screen” is;
  1. Provides the best protection against rocks and other damaging debris
  2. Easy to install (no cutting/shaping/modifications in order to get it to fit)
  3. Easy to secure it in place
  4. Lastly, screen looks good but still provides excellent protection

There could be more reasons but those are my top 4 in order of priority

I ordered the Scrape Armor because they are licensed by GM and designed using GM CAD data. They're not the cheapest, but are what I personally consider to be the best.

They are still in the pre-order stage, but are scheduled to begin shipping next week per my conversation with them last week.

Order a roll of the stuff on Amazon for $20 and cut them yourself with the template JerryU has. By the time it’s all secured in the grills you’re not going to be able to tell the difference.

I got the .45: hex from custom grill store - they custom cut it for me - all 4 was about 1/4 of the GM "approved" guards, which are also 0.45" hex.

EZ ScreenOut. https://www.ezscreenout.com/product-...-corvette-2020

Simple to install, just fold 'em up and push them into place. That's it. Less than 2 minutes or so.
Inexpensive. $80 for a pair.
Look great installed, available (when they are available in Black, Blue, Gray or Red.
Easy to remove to wash or replace.. bunch 'em up and pull 'em out.
Minimal effect on cooling,.. ONE degree?

I made my own, using the smaller opening hex pattern, perforated aluminum, powder coated material from CCG. I think one of the vendors says their is made from perforated stainless - but it appears to have the same pattern. And there is the GM approved one that appears to be made from the larger opening hex pattern, perforated aluminum, powder coated material similar or the same as what you can get from CCG. I think each of the designs has features and a price point. To my friends, in a bar, I would recommend any of screens that are made from the materials above. I think they will all provide excellent appearance, and good protection, and will last. The GM approved ones have a larger opening, and could potentially let something larger through - they are fairly new and no one has reported an issue with them yet. And they have a slightly larger open area if you prefer that - no one using the smaller opening pattern has report any cooling issues. Some don't like the price, but to me they appear to have some features that cost more to make (and that might not be important to some).

I ordered these cheap ones from Amazon. They appear to be made by a fictitious company name? (JESTOP). When you see these weird vendors that have a 6-8 character long name in ALL CAPS which appears to be random, you can be assured they are some sort of Chinese knock-off product.
They appear to be making knockoffs of the angryoffroad strut tower covers too, tsk tsk... Amazon clearly doesn't care about patents or anything.

This is the original version I got:
Amazon Amazon

They have a new version with octagonal holes:
Amazon Amazon

Mine has a fairly fine pitch mesh screen. So far I have gone through 1 summer with no overheating issues whatsoever.

I've got the Paragon screens. I like them. They are very high quality, powder coated and have a finished edge all the way around, including the cut out for the frunk release button and they install with screws rather than zip ties, which appealed to me, although I'm sure zip ties are secure as well, though perhaps not as aesthetically pleasing. They are pricey, though, at $299.99 but I found them on sale at $269.99. I looked at the Scrape Armor guards recently. They are even more costly at $399.95. They look nice as well but I am not sure about the quick release fasteners used which appear to be simply the plastic panel rivets frequently used for engine compartment shrouding and the like. Not sure how secure those will be or why you might really need to be removing and reinstalling the screens all that often such that the convenience would outweigh a more permanent attachment method.

Custom Cargrills for me. Got the inboard and outboard inserts for the front. Love the look, and they've not budged in 8,000 miles. I and others posted install experiences that can be found in a search. Lots of photos.

I ordered Scrape Armor because they are "approved" by GM and have been tested at Ron Fellows in Spring Mountain. This past NASCAR race a few cars with radiator screens had overheating issues. I do not want that and therefore feel the Scrape Armor will be best.

How else are we supposed to hyper-mile behind the 18-wheelers?!

I ordered the cheapest $35 ones on eBay. They’re painted aluminum and look ok to me. I don’t have Z51 so I just needed the outside grille covers.

Just got my car last weekend (finally ). I’ll install soon and let you know what I think
