If you think the ADM on the C8 is bad…
Last minute lunch with a friend (and Corvette owner) evolved into a visit to the Porsche dealer and an order for a new 918 GT4 Porsche (for him). The GT3 in their showroom had a 65% ADM! I did a double take when I thought it was $36k markup…and then I saw there was a “1” in front. Zoinks.
My C8:
Just window shopping…which turned into an order for a 918 GT4.
1964 I think. Really cool.
…but not as cool as this Gorgeous GT3
…and the “market adjustment”

At least that dealer tells you up front you're going to get shafted. It's the dealers that spring it on you during delivery that deserve a special place in hell.

If the Boxter Spyders were not such a pain to get I might be stretching into getting one, but as I understand they are impossible at MSRP. With adding all the markup it just makes it not worth it. With C8, if I'm willing to wait I can at least get a car for sticker.

OK, so what's his 918 GT 4 going to cost him with ADM before sales tax?
Did he leave a deposit to the terms of the sales agreement?
Your C8 really POPS, as you outfit it in the Black trim/wheels and Red!😳
My co worker in 1975 bought a 356 like that one for I think $3,500.00. Sold it in about 1979. Forget how much....
That's a good looking GT 3 on the floor.

As with all such, they can "ask" anything they wish, but no one is required to buy.

Yep. The Porsche GT3 is one of the most highly coveted cars on the globe right now. Never going to get one at msrp unless u use a gun. Same goes for a Rolex ceramic panda Daytona. Simply not enough of these for global demand. So much so that the dealers are price gouging. Mere mortals can no longer afford a GT3 anymore. Going to take a business owners that are able to mint cash and can spend it indiscriminately .

As for the Porsche, I believe he was told MSRP if he has a trade, but was also told 6-12mos. They did have a 918 GT4 on the floor (the red one he is looking at) that they do have a $10k ADM on.

Thanks Joe! We debated the lack of a manual trans extensively but after finally test driving and ordering one I REALLY enjoy it.

I don't follow Porsche, but is this type of ADM unique to this particular model, this particular dealer or is it universal that every Porsche dealer is tacking on an astronomical markup and is for both in stock as well as ordered cars or just in-stock?
If the post above mine is correct, I would think it would pay to shop different Porsche dealers. We aren't talking about chump change with a $136k markup!

Any amount over MSRP for a car is a joke, can not think of any car I want that bad.

I am getting my 2023 GT3 at sticker, but I also do know if I turn around and sell the car a few days later for 325k I will never get a new hot car from my dealer and I am hoping to get a GT4RS.

As an aside, I’m not sure if it’s a side effect of looking at window Porsche stickers and those little info podiums around the car. But your friend needs to work on his neck posture. Might get stuck like that Figured Porsche would be bending your spine in a different way when buying from them!
