I think it's hard for a lot of us to understand how something short of an all out accident could so severely damage that part that it could not be properly repaired. Please understand I'm not saying you or the dealers/shops that you took your C8 to are wrong, obviously I have no way of knowing that. However, adding a picture of the damage to your original post would probably have eliminated a lot of the less than helpful answers you have received in this thread. Unfortunately going by the information you have given us I have to agree with some of the posters here that this doesn't seem like a warranty issue and probably wouldn't qualify under the Lemon Laws, at least the ones I'm a familiar with. Also, ending your post by saying "My Ferrari is better looking" in a Corvette Forum post probably didn't endear your situation to some of the posters either, just sayin'.

So sorry to read this, but I'm not surprised about "no parts." All too commonly reported. After all, GM needs them all for the cars they haven't sold yet. Pitiful state of affairs for the likes of GM. I'd expect this from Lotus or some such... maybe. I hope your AAA coverage doesn't have a time-limit on repairs the way some other types do. I'm afraid I'd be looking for a different car, and not another C8! All the best, in any event.

Parts are available you just have to hunt for them. I would definitely try to find a shop that will repair the aperture panel. If that isn't bonded on perfect nothing will align.

Quite welcome, let us know how GM replaces your car for free for your accident when pigs fly. Really honestly was trying to be helpful at first and not the least bit condescending, but you clearly know more than all of us so not even sure why I bothered. I'm sure GM will be reaching out to you any day... infact I bet they upgrade you to a Z06 on the house.

StayinStock, found this thread doing a search for a part...LOL. I have a 2016 Z06. Love this car. Right side Aperture Panel was damaged back in September of last year...including front right fender...the Aperture Panel is STILL not available. I am told via back channels the part will be available in March...I have my fingers and toes crossed. I cannot wait to get my car repaired. Obviously this is only related this this thread in that it is the Aperture Panel, not available, and for a 16 Vette...

Just thought I'd share with the group in case anyone cares to know what it going on with parts.

Drive safe.
