The only reason I keep Onstar is for this purpose and was curious what the other options were. Anyone using a 3rd party company to track the car and locate if stolen? If so, how much did it cost?

Buy an Apple Air Tag and put it in the console. $30 plus tax.
But......
If our car is stolen, I don't want it to be found. That is why I buy insurance.

Not a fan of Air Tags. They only have bluetooth so they can only update when another apple device gets within range (15-20'). Then they serindipidiously connect to that device (assuming that user hasn't disabled the "Find My" feature and/or Location Services) So while it works in some applications, I would not rely on it for finding anything important and definately does not work in real time.
"Police? I want to report a car stolen."
USAA, I want to report my car stolen. Yes, I have filed a report with the police. The number is _______."
Mental message to self: "Please don't let them find my car."
