I placed a 1" wide adhesive backed rubber strip on the underside of the panels between the covers and strut braces to prevent rattles ..The 3mm thick aluminum panels themselves are very secure and rigid so the panels don't flex nearly as much as the lighter / thinner CF panels would...In addition, the panels outside edges don't make contact with any other panels or metal to cause any rattling to occur...I really don't think tabs are needed for the aluminum panel design.

I don't have an engine bay dress up kit, I opted to just keep it plain.
I was told there was no value in ceramic coating the painted parts and now they appear "chalky". Is this due to the heat since they are right next to the headers?
I have washed them a couple times with basic soap & water, no chemicals or anything, but the paint has started to look very chalky and it's not from hard water deposits or anything like that.
What does anyone do to clean this up and get it looking shiny / new again? Is there a recommended product to use?
I am not talking about the plastic / SMC area, I am talking about the engine braces and the metal triangular shaped areas.
